Renting an outdoor covered storage space in Colorado Springs. The space seems secure and access is OK. The problem is with billing. I have rented for eight months and have problems on 6 different billing cycles. Of course all of them are in SK's favor. I really do not want to deal with these issues all the time so I will be moving very soon. Also, book your space through a third party as it will be less expensive.

I have been renting from them for about 2 years now. I lost my job back in October of 2023 and the site manager and the worker are pretty nice people, but they can never work with me when it comes to my bill being due. However, always make a way to pay even if I'm a little late. This time I was 32 days past due and normally my bill is like $56 which it has gone up, but when I am late it goes up to $73. They actually tagged on $200 more because I'm 32 days late and told me that I even have to call in but now it is locked and so I have to wait for them to auction it off and send me an email or something like that. I asked to speak to headquarters and the reception is basically told me to reach out to the district manager and he or she will get back with me but this is ridiculous! I'm going through hardship and no one can help me! Then when I look at the new prices for the same size storage unit it's like $21! I am paying almost $60! I would not rent a storage with them. Now, according to the receptionist I have to wait for them to reach out to me about my property been auctioned off! I am in disbelief! I just think that they should be able to assist those who are having hardship! It will not hurt their pockets because they're filthy rich!

Outside unit rains inside from the outside top back area and lizards also comes inside. I informed them about this 1-2 years ago. It should be discounted until it is fixed.

They increase the rentals every 8 months; for 2024 the rate increase is over 9%. They keep expanding/building and it appears they pass on the cost to their customers. Filed a complaint and basically it falls on deaf-ears; nothing ever gets done. This is a Florida Location, I'm referring to.

Very insecure place to storage very bad managment of the property alots of customers complaint about it np security thieves brake into units and havent done anything now i feel afraid that next morning my stuff can be gone!!

Just paid my storage and it was a 30-40% increase from $160 to $185 but I paid $197 today I expected a price increase but not at this rate and so fast, I tried calling but didn't get a reply I'll try again to see why so high so fast, I don't think this is good for business but I rented elsewhere today six of us are already gone after 5 plus years half a decade I'll be moving out soon.

For almost a year, there was no office on site. I went there 4 times and needed to call someone each time. Now there's an office but it's closed on weekends. I'm also moving all my belongings from 2 units on the 4th, but I have to pay a full month - no prorating.

These people are unconscionable thieves. I would put my stuff ANY place but at storage king. I am signed up for autopay. In April 2022 I called them to change my credit card information. The manager of the facility in Cleveland (Johnston Parkway) wrote down the expiration date info wrong and it declined in May. They didn’t send me the info that it declined until 6 days later. By that time, the late fees were already applied. I called and to straighten it out and they told me they sent an email earlier telling about the card being declined but I didn’t receive it. They didn’t care and said the late fees can’t be waived. Period! I asked who made that rule and they told me the district manager. I asked to speak to the district manager and was told I would receive a call back. I have since called three more times to speak to a district manager. It’s been 11 days and I haven’t received a call back yet. In the meantime, they took the payment AND the late fees from my account even though I DIDN’T authorize the payment. Still haven’t received a call back. This is theft and I am looking for an alternative at the moment. This company is completely unethical and I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! **UPDATE** after several more attempts to resolve this matter, and after letting them know I was going to social media, a district manager actually called me back. They agreed to remove the late fees and took 25% off my month’s rent. I appreciated the compensation but it should have happened the first time I called.
