Storage King USAReviews of storagekingusa.com

Be very wary of this storage facility. They do not honor their promotions or agreed rates. The company (Storage King USA) offered me a 4-month promotion at 50% off for rental of a unit, which I paid up for in full in April 2026. The rental period includes August 2026 (08/01 - 08/31). They assured me that I would not have any changes to rate, as fully paid for the period. The company has subsequently sent me a letter informing that the rent for the last month will increase from $19 to $59 (three times the rental amount) for the last month of August (08/01 - 08/31). This is not only misleading, but also illegal, as the rent is not only fully paid for, it was also offered on promotion - the price for which they assured me would not change for the promotional period. Typically, they respond within an hour of any calls made (prior to my rental). Since my rental, I have made numerous efforts at calls, messages etc. with no response from a person working for the company.

Poor communication. Lies that get you to sign up and then a 53% rate increase after a short time. They have some robot that answers phone calls and you never get anybody. I don’t think a human works there except for maybe one person and that person must be a scumbag because you get nothing but lies and promises to get you to sign up and then none of the commitments are honored. Then they call you back from a number in Keema and Keema numbers are known for spam calls. Four days to get a phone call.

Raised the rent over 50% after a few months. Misled

They DO NOT return phone calls. When they do they only let it ring once then hang up. You call them back IMMEDIATELY and NO ANSWER! STRAIGHT to VM. My GRANDMA had died, I live little over an hour away, not in the best of health myself. I had not thought about storage. I was pass due so COULD NOT pay over the phone. LITERALLY had to call and have someone put it...she had to leave work to pay in CASH at the office! TOTAL AND UTTER BS! When she arrives no one in the office no sign on the door and blinds closed. She waited over 20 minutes for him and then manager was RUDE. When I called and asked to please be allowed to pay over the phone do to my Grandma dying like LITERALLY JUST DIED! He, I swear to goodness chuckled and you could hear, I could careless and I don't care attitude very very rude and disrespectful... He told me NO & IT NEEDED to be paid or else! Granted I was late but between my health issues and my Grandma he could have had some compassion. OH MIND YOU I LIVE OVER AN HOUR AWAY!!! I have asked to speak with the District Manager numerous times...never heard from them. Sent an email asking for DM to please call me ..AGAIN NOTHING...well I am totally out of commission, again granted my fault but NEVER EVER did I receive a call IF called there was NEVER a message left. NEVER WERE MY CALLS ANSWERED....I called today to make payment and they told me they were selling my storage. I am not healthy like at all ...I begged for them to give me one day asked the assistant manager to have someone give me a call..."I will tell them." I then ask will you please make sure someone calls me? She replies, "all I can do is give them the message.!" I never received a call and I CAN TELL YOU THIS ...if I find out they sold my stuff when I NEVER EVER RECEIVED A CALL IF SO NO MESSAGE LEFT informing me of unit being sold ..I KNOW the storage laws and I CAN PROMISE YOU I WILL spend these last days of my life telling what they did!!! My DEAD mama and Granny's stuff was in there. NEVER a call NEVER A MESSAGE LEFT if they did call. This place has had 42 complaints with the BBB in 2 years!!! I have already called the Self Storage Association and I WILL CALL Fayetteville's Dept of Health tomorrow because the last time I was there I saw 3 rats. The Property is rundown and I am sure not up to code on quite a few things. I was getting my stuff out between now and June 17th! I told Sharon that. I begged and she had NO compassion! I worked in that Industry for 15 years. Was a Property Manager for 10 and over saw all operations and employees of 2 facilities for the last 5 years. YOU DO NOT DO NOT do some of the things they have done to me... AGAIN if I find out they sold my stuff tomorrow....I will keep them so busy dealing with City violations, health department and the fire Marshal. I am sick and have HAD ENOUGH. MIND YOU MY RENT HAS GONE UP CRAZY and the place is truly disgusting!! I didn't have much of a choice or I would have NEVER rented from that place. Have all intentions on contacting the Fayetteville Observer and anyone else who will listen if they have sold my things. I have actually called wral 5 on your side as well. I have called MWR at Fort Bragg let them know the protocol for late payments because deploying Soldiers DO NOT need to rent from companies with no compassion!

Have been unable to get a hold of corporate billing. The local office kept telling me they would get my overpayment issue resolved but nobody from the corporate office would get back to me and the local office could not give me their telephone number to resolve myself. The local office sent 3 or 4 emails to their supervisor who did nothing to resolve. This company has unscrupulous management and never refunded my rent overpayment. Could not get a telephone number off of their website that they would respond to. They also increased rent way too often. Avoid this company at all cost.

You don't want this company they jack up their prices Every year and absolutely no justifying it whatsoever just have somebody sit behind a desk for a few hours Monday through Friday 99.9% of the time doing nothing

I attempted to lease a unit but to get my gate access i was supposed to come in and show proof of ID. I hadnt been able to make it since the store manager at 4068 E Fort Lowell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712, Mariah, had closed early both days i arrived. I emailed about wanted to cancel and a refund and neither happened. Just today i got an email about a due balance which shouldn't be since i canceled and requested a refund. I understand there isnt a refund policy but i never even entered the facility. I was supposed to come in to confirm my ID and the manager was blatantly neglectful of my email, my issue and kept cutting me off on the phone. She refused to give me her last name for this complaint as well.

Started out with less than a hundred dollars and ended up being almost 200... ridiculous.. Your storage didn't have light the roof was leeking and you have mice which all damaged my goods and on top of it all you kept raising prices on me lto the point that I felt like I was the only one paying you..manager was great but everything else was terrible.. You guys are rubbing people without any notice on top of providing terrible service.
