Seemingly broken platform and they request an excessive amount of information. Even made me complete a degree check with a third party since my degree certificate was somehow insufficient. They drip fed me requests for additional information, dragging out the process for weeks. I provided all of the requested information via emails and via their platform, which even confirmed I had provided the necessary information. In their report to my employer the claimed to have not received anything from me. Lucky for me I was returning to a previous employer otherwise this could have caused serious problems.

Not even worth one star. Disorganized, this company shouldn’t be labelled a reference for other recruiting companies to outsource background checks to. They seem to be under the impression that a candidate has the power to expedite their country's bureaucracy process. Ridiculous.

Im sorry but how can it take 3 weeks to do a criminal background check when you did my background check for deliveroo within 10 minutes. This is becoming a joke now. This is taking so long which is delaying me in making money so i can afford to live a normal life.

Racist organization. Does not approve European legal documents. I've Submitted all the right documents. Everything is absolutely legal and perfect and they just denied it for no reason. Recent passport. Share code. All matching everything perfectly clear and correct. But they just keep denying it.

Very very rude and poor management boycott sterling

I had the displeasure of working with Sterling as part of my onboarding process with a new employer and Sterling was tasked with the background check. Unfortunately I must say that is in my more than 30 years of professional experience I have rarely encountered such striking levels of inefficiency, incompetence and a complete lack of professionalism. Processing times are very lengthy and repetitive. I've had to deal with 4 different people who work there. None of them seem capable of reading, or just doing the job capably and efficiently. I have needed to resend the same information over and over again ad nauseum. No matter how many times I send them the information they request. I inevitably get yet another request to send it again. I would love to know how these people manage to get themselves dressed and get themselves to work. Cause honestly I feel like they have the intelligence of Neanderthals

Absolute joke of a company. They wasted my time over and over again. They all seem to be utterly incompetent and unable to apply any sense of logic. They would not accept my a-level certificates, which were dated and listed my school, as proof of education for that year. They also requested I provide documentation explaining why I had a 'gap' of 2 months between graduating university in June and starting a graduate scheme in September. They are continually asking me for further documentation to evidence exact dates for my education and employment despite already providing proof. Such a waste of time.

this semi-business is a TOTAL roadblock in the way for me to get a gig-economy work. Was trying to get work with Deliveroo and then with Just Eat. The way they ask for "missing" information is to reiterate in email AGAIN AND AGAIN - what they stated in the online form in the first place. i.e. you conclude that you did not send anything. The "share code" of EU citizens in the UK may be a factor, but I can not tell if all they do is parroting what they asked for already AND I provided in 100%. As well - asking to send personal details, and scans of ID documents in a regular email? YOU MUST BE JOKING!!! Hey dudes you are just ABSOLUTE AMATORS re PRIVACY. If you are an employer and want to get prospective employees checked, keep clear of this utter rubbish! AND B.T.W why would you engage some USA-based losers to do EU or UK tasks??? As well, amateurs, (Addressing these scammers here) if you operate in the UK, WRITE DATE IN UK format or ISO, not your farse-format (wherever your shed-HQ happens to be based).
