Started off poorly, the code I was sent was inactive and had to call the help center to be sent a new code. Walk into the “lobby” and there’s an alarm going off that continued on for at least an hour. It got much worse from there. We had no hot water our entire stay. On our first trip in the elevator within 5 minutes of arriving, we run into another couple of guests who mention to us the hot water had been out for at least 2 days prior. The hotel never notified us before we arrived this had been an ongoing issue. We walk into the room, it is minimally furnished with no dresser drawers, a nightstand on only one side, and the tv cant even be viewed from the bed. Also the fridge in our unit was broken. We pulled it out to make sure it was plugged in and noticed a small puddle of water underneath the unit. In the bathroom (with no hot water for all 3 days of our stay) the sink sprays water so hard that it splashes 3 feet across the room. Beyond issues with the actual room, the second night of our stay the elevator stopped working. The “lobby” of this building is just the front entrance and the elevator, so we used the fire escape stairs to exit out the back door. No problem. However upon returning we try to enter the back door again and it’s jammed. Our key code was working but the door didnt open whatsoever. We were unable to even enter the building to access our hotel room until offsite staff was able to get there and kick the door open. We will never be staying with this company again. I had issues with them the year before and they will not get the courtesy of a third try. Save your money and go to the quality inn down the street.

I recently stayed at Prime Location |…
I recently stayed at Prime Location | Marina & Ocean Views | StayCozy in Miami, and I can confidently say it was the worst property stay I have ever experienced. The location itself is fine, but none of that matters when the management company, StayCozy, is negligent, unresponsive, and completely lacking in basic respect for guests. What my family endured was not just inconvenient — it was unsafe, exhausting, and unacceptable.
I was traveling with my children, my elderly parents (both 70 years old), and my father, who is a cancer patient. We needed a comfortable, safe place for him to rest. Instead, we walked into a unit with a completely non‑functional AC. Not weak, not inconsistent — not working at all. Miami heat without AC is dangerous for anyone, but for seniors and someone undergoing cancer treatment, it is absolutely unacceptable.
We contacted StayCozy immediately. What followed was an entire night of phone calls, zero sleep, and absolutely no support. They had no staff available to address the issue. No emergency technician. No backup plan. No alternative property. We were left sweating, exhausted, and ignored. My father struggled through the night, my elderly parents were miserable, and my children couldn’t sleep. I spent hours on the phone with Vrbo and the host, trying to get someone to take responsibility.
An AC technician finally arrived the next morning at 10:00 AM, after we had already endured a full night in dangerous conditions. He claimed the issue was fixed and told us to wait a few hours for the temperature to drop. We waited until 2:00 PM — still no change. The unit remained unbearably hot. We were drenched in sweat and increasingly worried about my father’s health.
I contacted StayCozy again, hoping they would finally take the situation seriously. Instead, I was met with more waiting, more excuses, and more indifference. After several more hours on the phone, they admitted the AC could not be fixed. They had no alternative property, no solution, and no plan. They expected us to stay another night in those conditions — as if our suffering was acceptable, as if our health concerns didn’t matter.
This is not just poor service. This is irresponsible, unsafe, and completely unprofessional.
At that point, I had no choice but to check out early. I contacted Vrbo again, explained everything, and ended up paying out of pocket for rooms at the DoubleTree just so my family could be safe. The fact that I had to scramble for last‑minute accommodations because StayCozy refused to take responsibility is outrageous.
And then came the final insult.
I paid $1,173 for this stay. After everything we went through — the sleepless night, the dangerous conditions, the stress, the discomfort, the hours spent on the phone, and the last‑minute hotel booking — StayCozy “compensated” me $100. One hundred dollars. That is not compensation. That is not an apology. That is not accountability. It is disrespect.
StayCozy repeatedly promised they would take care of us. They failed at every step. Their behavior shows a complete lack of care for guests, no accountability, and no professionalism. They do not maintain their properties. They do not support their guests. They do not stand behind their promises. They do not respect the people who trust them with their vacations.
To be clear:
The property itself is not the problem. The location is not the problem. The building is not the problem. The problem is StayCozy — the management company.
If you value your time, your money, your comfort, and your safety, do NOT book with StayCozy. I am warning every traveler, every family, every parent, every caregiver: this company is not reliable, not responsible, and not trustworthy. They left my family in dangerous conditions, ignored our concerns, failed to provide basic support, and then insulted us with a meaningless refund.
Your vacation deserves better. Your family deserves better. Your health deserves better.
StayCozy is not a company you can trust.
I am sharing this experience so others do not have to go through what we did. There are many wonderful hosts and management companies out there — but StayCozy is absolutely not one of them.

Hello Stanley,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience - this is not the standard we hold ourselves to. Our team worked to get a technician on site as quickly as possible, and we regret that the situation could not be resolved sooner. Your feedback has been shared with our team and will help us improve our emergency response process going forward.
Regarding the compensation offered, we understand it may not have felt reflective of your experience, and we would like the opportunity to discuss this further. One of our team members will reach out to you soon to review your case further.
Warm regards,
StayCozy Team

I arrived at the property in Liverpool…
I arrived at the property in Liverpool at 9pm - it was a mild 20 degrees outside but 30 degrees inside the property. While the property does not advertise having air con (and most places in the UK don't) there were no windows available to open in the property as a means of cooling it down. I stayed for 1 hour before having to leave and stay somewhere else. No refund or help of any kind was offered.
