Constant performance issues due to their VIRTIO KVM virtualisation driver. Will have to move my website as its costing me business and making my company look bad - avoid at all costs!
Also, for a Node that's supposed to be in NL its showing as USA! - Asked to fix in July and its still wrong - I'm off!.

Poor performance and constant reboots
I've been a customer for < 2months, and since I started really using the VPS 1.5months ago, I've been complaining about sluggish performance and reboots.
Syslog complains about memory release errors (the qemu agent asking the VM to give up memory), even when my VPS is using < 4G of the 64.
Since I've had the VPS, 2 months, its been rebooted 9 times without my knowledge.
I've asked for refunds, and that question goes unanswered. I wont be renewing, and I'm telling anybody who is considering these VPS to go elseware.
Its so bad, that I moved one website home to a Raspberry Pi and it performs better 100x better.

Basic math shouldn’t require billing escalation — and it’s still unresolved
Long-time customer, but their support and billing process has become incredibly frustrating.
I’ve been with SSD Nodes for roughly seven years, and I’m honestly shocked at how difficult they’ve made a basic account change. I contacted them to purchase additional snapshots, and instead of handling a simple pricing correction, the sales team quoted it incorrectly, then punted it to billing.
This should not be complicated. It is basic math. I already have snapshots on the account, and I was trying to buy more. Instead of correcting the quote, SSD Nodes treated it like some complex billing mystery that had to disappear into another queue.
After waiting 48 hours with no resolution, I followed up again and got a curt response that “billing will respond to the original ticket.” That is not customer service. That is someone having a hissy fit.
Why can’t sales correct an obviously wrong quote? Why does every simple pricing issue have to be sent to billing? Does billing actually have enough people working? Because from the customer side, it feels like requests just get forwarded there to die.
For a VPS provider, this is a serious problem. Customers rely on hosting companies to respond quickly and competently, especially for account limits, backups, snapshots, and other infrastructure needs. Instead, SSD Nodes has made a simple request unnecessarily difficult and slow.
The actual issue was small. The failure was the lack of ownership, urgency, and basic competence from the support/sales process.

Overselling
Heavy overselling
They are heavily overselling their servers. To the point that it's actually 65x slower (can barely get 500 events per seconds within 15 seconds span) than the competitor VPS (where I can get 33000+ events per sec within 15 second span).
Bought a 3 year plan - don't do that mistake. When you contact them, they will move you to another, slightly less oversold machine, but still oversold to the point that it falls behind.
To add more - imagine you purchase a "Performance" server in 2025. You get performance worse than 15 year old desktop PC.
NVMe disk with speeds worse or equal to regular HDD.
If that's not a scam - I don't know how else to call it.

You Get What You Pay For
Purchased the top of the line VPS and immediately experienced issues. Submitted a ticket and they asserted I violated their terms by crypto minning so they throttled my server. That was an egregiously false accusation on SSD Nodes part. The 12vPU 48GB 728GB vps was a 900 dollar waste of money. I think the constant sales are a sign that they care less about quality and are in money grab mode. If they get you to foolishly purchase a three year server they have you locked in. The Old Lesson I have Not Learned Yet: You Get What You Pay For.

I recently requested a server upgrade…
I recently requested a server upgrade (Ssdnodes).com, but before completing
the payment, I decided not to proceed with the upgrade. Instead, I wanted
to keep my existing server and purchase an additional one.
However, despite the upgrade never taking place, my original server was
terminated for over a month now — even though it has already been paid for in advance for the
next three years. This means I’ve lost access to a fully paid server for an
upgrade that was never executed.
I kindly requested that my original server be reinstated immediately, as I
only intended to explore the upgrade — not to lose my active server. I
still wish to keep my old server and do not need the upgrade.
It feels as though I have been penalized for an intention, not an action,
My server is: Performance 48GB RAM (720GB NVMe)
