Very happy with the service from SROA! They have very helpful and friendly staff. The units are clean and in good condition, and the security seems good to - they have locked gates that require a code to access the lot.

The rental office placed a lock on the storage unit that I rented. The complex has listed office hours on the door. When I reached the facility the office was closed so I was unable to get the lock switched. That happened to me 7 times in the pasted month. I would contact the customer service line and no one would answer there phone when they would reach out to fix the problem. So I finally had to get a lock Smith to remove it and paid additional 200 plus just to get my unit open. The manager called and stated that they wont refund my money and apologized for the inconvenience. They have cost me additional exspense. Will never rent from this company again.

Storage Rentals of America 9006 E 22nd Terrace Kansas City MO 64126 Do not put your belongings in this location, it will just get broke into and the property manager could care less about it. not helpful at all. this place has had mass amount of break ins and they just keep letting it happen, call to ask about an update on the insurance claim and get told i dont know what to tell you, you would think as a property manager he would know what to tell a customer, but they seriously do not care. just be warned, holes in the fencing all around just welcoming thieves to come in and take your belongings. The Property Manager will lie lie lie to you and he does absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION April 7- Storage Unit was Broke into June 4- SROA CLAIMS team still has yet to receive the insurance claim that needs to be submitted by the PROPERTY MANAGER.

Well I gotta tell you — if you’re here in Missoula, MT and you’re working with Terra C she is helpful and freaking awesome. Someone should give this nice lady a raise. I actually felt like a person; she cares! It was a nice and non-judgemental experience. I recommend!

First, this company tried to rent a roughly 4’ wide unit as a 5x10. The young lady argued with me about it. It wasn’t until I went to move in that I noticed an open unit that was truly a 5 x10. And luckily for me a man (presumably the owner) was there and he corrected it. 2nd, the sold me a lock that jammed every time I locked it and tried to remove the key. They had to get “approval” to take it back. Lastly, I bought some supplies from them - boxes, tape and a small stretch wrap roll. I didn’t use the stretch wrap and attempted to return it. ALL other places take back unused materials. They refused to take it back even though it was in new, unused condition with the receipt. The young lady pointed to the receipt that says “sales non-refundable”. I had not seen that but I am curious… how would I have known that before actually buying items and then receiving the receipt. I didn’t see that notice in the office and no one mentioned it. This was the final straw. I am in a climate controlled unit and while I haven’t measured the temp, I can tell you it is noticeably warmer than the place I came from in Houston. It also does not stay lit while you are working around the unit. I understand using motion activated lighting to save energy but I’m no where near a motion detector and I have to go down a hall to reactivate it and it doesn’t stay on but maybe 10 or 15 minutes. Not my biggest concern but still makes it customer unfriendly. The last thing is this young lady I keep referring to. She is not friendly. I don’t like dealing with her. I paid s year in advance because I’m in school but I regret renting from this place. I hope not taking your plastic wrap back was worth it.

When we first rented this unit, the facility was not owned by SROA. Since then, the price has steadily increased to the point where our monthly bill is now $173. Meanwhile, the exact same size unit is currently advertised on their website for $19.95. When we asked about this, the only solution offered was to move all of our belongings into a different unit and “start over” at the lower rate. That might make sense if they planned to rent our current unit at the higher price, but they don’t. Instead, a new customer will likely get that same unit for $19.95 while existing customers continue paying significantly more. Be aware that rent increases can happen multiple times a year, and they add up quickly. If you fall behind, fees escalate fast—by the second month, the balance can be several times the original amount. It appears this company is acquiring storage facilities in many areas, which limits alternatives. If you have other options available, it’s worth considering them.

I rented a climate controlled storage unit at this facility in June of 2023. I went to move out of my unit in February of this year. The first thing I noticed upon entering the building, was the building was damp, and ha d a strong smell of mold and mildew. I got to my unit, and immediately noticed upon entering there was mold all over my items. I immediately notified property management, and they were dismissive. I filed a claim with the protection plan I was paying them for, and the claim was denied. I am now being told that the unit is not, and was not climate controlled - But it was rented to me as a climate controlled unit, and they charged a premium for this unit being that it was climate controlled. Not only is SROA negligent, not maintaining proper temperature and humidity levels, they are potentially fraudulent.
