We submitted bills for routine wellness services and were mildly perturbed to receive an emailed form letter requesting our dog's complete health history. That seemed unnecessary as none of the charges submitted for reimbursement pertained to anything suggesting treatment of a preexisting condition or other uncovered service. A day later, and before we replied to the request for records, we received an email informing us that our claim had been approved in full. We will provide the requested records because Spot is certainly entitled to them, but it was very reassuring to learn that that claims aren't being routinely delayed for pre-textual reasons. The quick turnaround of our claim demonstrated that reasonable people are reviewing claims and making intelligent decisions about what is and isn't relevant to approval. The explanation of benefits was promptly received, clear and concise. (Praise not heaped on most human health insurers). We hope our beloved companion never suffers a serious injury or illness, but this prompt, efficient, and properly documented claims experience has boosted our confidence that Spot Pet Insurance will promptly provide the promised financial assistance should it ever be needed.
