I always felt pet insurance was a joke…
I always felt pet insurance was a joke & why bother until I rescued a hound mix who has major allergy issues. Unfortunately it was too late to get insurance to assist with that. But after the money spent on that we decided to purchase it just in case we run into any other issues which we unfortunately did. Grateful for the insurance since we are a middle class family living paycheck to paycheck like most Americans now a days. Just wish pre-existing was like the old days that if you went 6 mths with out treatment than it would no longer be classified pre-existing & be covered. Because her allergies are pretty seasonal & ends up being in the fall when the leaves fall. It be nice to have it be covered in that case.

Hi Laura, Thanks for choosing Spot to protect your furry family! 🐾 Much like other providers, our plans don’t cover conditions showing signs before your coverage starts, as documented by your vet. However, with a Spot plan, an injury or illness that is curable, cured, and free of treatment and symptoms for 180 days will no longer be regarded as pre-existing.
