I feel SPOT is a great company to provide health insurance for your pet. Like everyone else you don't insure the existing stuff but some things that are temporary are insured after they get well and been there for a bit. That's just logical business and they are upfront about it. The first claim may take a bit, they have to gather the past information on your pet from the vet but any claims after that go thru pretty quick. The claim process itself is straight forward and easy to access online. If you can scan and attach the invoice billing it goes faster.

This insurance is a scam. They did not cover any of my puppies new diagnosed problems. I turned in three separate claims for three separate issue. All three were denied without explanation. I emailed asking for explanation twice and received no response. Weeks later I got an email they are canceling my coverage. I never requested for it to be canceled, but I’m glad it was. It’s nearly impossible to communicate with the company. Don’t waste your money or time on SPOT Pet Insurance.

Hi Liza, we understand the frustration when claims are denied. Much like other providers, our plans don’t cover conditions showing signs before your coverage starts, as documented by your vet. For further assistance, please call our team at 1-800-905-1595 (M-F 8am-8pm).
