My dog had an emergency illness and I also was required to show 6months to a year of medical documents too. ..... they stated the ones from the vet weren't sufficient. My dog is healthy and doesnt go to the vet that often so when I submitted documents the next few days I get a completed status and a rejection that states claim not eligible with NO EXPLANATION - how can you deny my claim with no explanation when you required 6 months of documents on my end???? My dog has accident and illness i read the coverage and my emergency should be covered. I have xrays and labs done on top of everything and none of that is eligible? And they completed it on a holiday weekend so that now I cant call and ask for a reason??? Scam. This is ridiculous why are we paying for pet insurance if we cant get reimbursement? So they just take your money... last time I checked money doesnt grow on trees and it aint free $1500 out the toilet.

We have been with Spot for a couple of years without needing reimbursement. The last few months Spot has been fair and paid out as expected and pretty promptly. So far, I am pleased with Spot.

Spot selectively denies coverages and claims without a true, reasonable basis, also refused to communicate with me and their customer “service” was nonexistent. They also appear to troll negative reviews selectively (but leave enough to appear as if they are not) and go out of their way to get them removed. This is not an honest or good company, they did not care about my pet or the truth at all.

Processing claims is very easy and the reimbursement time is great. Nice to have a dependable insurance for my babies

Never had pet insurance before and listened to various people on how hard their experience was with the companies they used. Just submitted my first claim and no issues whatsoever. Very impressed with the ease of using Spot and will remain a customer.

We have always wanted the best for our Golden Retrievers. I did some research online for SPOT insurance and even though it had great reviews, I purchased it reluctantly because I did not know ANYONE with Spot pet insurance. I am so happy that I did! Our Golden had an emergency last month$$$$ and they came through during a very difficult time. The last thing anyone wants to worry about is "How am I going to pay for this?" We were refunded quickly and the claim process was so easy on the app . Their service was SPOT on !
