Hi Buff, Yes, you are correct, we would love to have more lesbians on the site. We are always open and looking for new ways to market to spiritually oriented lesbians (it is a focus). And, we have had some beautiful success stories from lesbian couples, so those that are on the site, oftentimes match up, so don't give up!

Thanks for your feedback. You can turn off your "view" notifications if you prefer not to know when and whom viewed your profile (go to My Account--Edit Mail Preferences). We launched Spiritual Singles in the year 2000 when online dating was relatively new and "views" were a thing back then. At this point, so many members love the feature, that it's something we have kept. In regard to us having too few members, I'd recommend expanding your Search criteria (and/or Matchmaker Preferences), as it sounds like you may have something selected that is severely limiting your search results and/or Matches. Very limited number of straight male vegans in older age range of 65+ despite broad search range of any location, any race, etc. Many looking for younger women, and others are not even members so can't communicate. Just disappointing. Not worth joining again for me. Please stop replying with useless suggestions like try expanding my location preference because I already am open to ANY location. I'm only limiting things like no smoking or heavy drinking, no married men, and I'm definitely not going to change that. You just don't have any choice of vegan men in my age range. Please stop posting defenses.

Thanks for your feedback. *One thing to note that is VERY important; As a subscribing member, you CAN email non-subscribing members and they can READ AND REPLY to your personally written messages with personally written messages--so YES, you most certainly can communicate with ALL members. We don't have any such thing as "non-members", only non-subscribing members, and you can communicate with anyone, as long as you initiate (being a subscribing member). We have always been much more generous than other pay-model dating sites as we truly do want you to meet someone special. Hope this clarifies that point.

"Matching" seems arbitrary. I see too many "matches" that are far too young or on another continent. There should be a way to remove profiles from the view panel. The general pool seems too small to bring the odds of finding a match up much. The male clientele in my age range seem to desire much lower female ages than other dating sites. I don't know why that is, but it also lowers odds for me.

Thanks for your feedback. Your "Matches" are solely based on your Matchmaking Preferences (MMP) under the "Match" menu bar button on top. You can select the age-range and the location of your Matches, so that part is completely up to you. The Match % you see on profiles are based on the answers of the Match Questions. By "view panel" I think you are referring to who is online page. I'd recommend going straight to your Matches or the Search page where you can change your filters and save your favorite searches. This way, you are only viewing profiles that match your criteria. As far as the age range that certain men are looking for, we don't have any control over that, as I'm sure you are aware, but we always encourage everyone to be open-minded about age! There are a couple of things that stop Spiritual Singles from being a great site. One thing is that while you can specify body type like slim/slender you cannot search by body type. The other thing is that the height range of 2 inches and weight range for 20 pounds leaves room for a lot of fudging of numbers. These things are enough that I think I will drop from this site, it just cannot be trusted. In response to the response I received I probably should have specified Match Maker Preferences. In that area there is no way to set body type. Specifying weight and height is useless and not the same at at all. As for the comment that you want people to look below the surface and not concern themselves with physical appearance, your appearance tells a lot about you in terms of how well you take care of yourself and how important your health is to you.

Hi Brian, Thank you for your review and feedback. "Body Type" is actually a search parameter; it's under "Appearance" in the search filters and you CAN search by body type. We use a 2" and 20 pound range for height and weight respectively, to take the focus off appearance, and encourage members to look a bit deeper. Having to login to answer messages is a hassle. What I mean by this is that when you get a notification that you've received a message...you cannot reply to message via the notification message. You have to go through the interface of the site to reply to the message. The matching protocols are way off. I get men messaging me that are 20-30 years older than my desired age. Their profile will be like a 90%-100% compatible with mine. It creeps me put to be matched with men that much older, even though my prefrences are set for an age range closer to mine. I wish they could have more filters, such as what age group you are visible to. Age is a BIG compatibilty factor for many people, and the algorithms they use don't take this into consideration as a separate feature.

You can click "Remember me" or "Stay logged in" when you login so that you don't have to log in each time (you may need to add your login credentials to your phone's settings if you are accessing from your mobile). The compatibility percentage is displayed with all members who have answered the Match Questions, so you will see that % on the ONLINE page with everyone. However, when you SEARCH or view your MATCHES, those will only be in the age range that you have specified, and you can sort by Match %, which is a great way to find very compatible matches (in addition to your other criteria).
