SouthState BankReviews of southstatebank.com

Mrs. Samia has been the absolute most amazing individual that my wife and I could have ever hoped to have help us through all of our financial needs! She has made the entire financial experience welcoming and 100% less stressful. I can't be more thankful for her amazing professionalism and warming spirit she brings to the world!

I have been banking with South State for many years. No matter what good bad or ugly, I know I can always go to Samia Khan and she gets the job done. She is very informative and a amazing person to work with. She is the reason this company keeps my business. Samia is amazing all around.

They are useless as far as going through a hardship and needing help with assistance with Loss Mitigation!! The first time I needed assistance I was denied and the second time the only options I'm able to receive is to do a short sale or release my mortgage!!! Why would I want to do that?!? I just needed temporary relief, repayment options, etc due to me making less now at my job and I'm doing everything by myself!! No help at all and will soon be refinancing with someone else who actually will help people that are going through life challenges, when I get back in a good space. I don't like being with companies that don't care!! And in order for me to qualify for the other options, I have to be months behind on my mortgage, that makes zero sense. So I would have a possible foreclosure and be having to owe thousands in mortgage payments over my head just to qualify for assistance, I'm not about to be scammed in doing that!! And with the woman who I was speaking with on the phone today (might have been Jennifer B) or whoever was the last person I spoke with today, I didn't appreciate her hanging up in my face after she said, "Have a nice day". That was very rude and unprofessional!! It's just sad that we have these types of companies that only care about money and not really about the people. When and if they go through the same thing and struggling to pay their mortgage and pay bills. I hope they think about this moment and how they made me feel as a customer.

They are always very helpful with commercial lending. Nice people and I really appreciate working with them.

My husband and I bank at South State and whenever we’ve had transactions, they’ve been very professional, courteous and kind. I remember my husband and I pulled up to the Drive Through and the Teller looked at me and ask, “where have you been?! It’s been a while since I’ve seen you.” That really made me feel important. It’s good when you’re remembered by someone at an establishment that you trust.

The Castle Pine location is convenient, friendly and professional, knowledgeable about their products, competitive CD rates and I can get a Starbucks coffee which is in the same facility.

We selected South State Bank to purchase a home. Even after several confirmations that our mortgage would remain "in-house" during the home buying process, we soon discovered that immediately after closing we were informed that South State sold our mortgage to a below than subpar mortgage servicer. I wondered how much research or due diligence South State conducted prior to selling off our mortgage. The months after we're a nightmare to say the least. I would NOT recommend South State for new mortgage originations or purchases.

I was able to open a checking account with extreme ease on line. I was also able to get my SSI Disability transferred from my previous bank to my new bank without having to call the IRS!!!
