When your order was placed on 1/19/22 you were told that this product was a custom order. On 1/20/22 Jenna from our office also sent you an email with attached Sales Order 104413, that it is estimated to ship on 2/9/22, which is the above specified time frame. At no time did we receive any emails questioning the materials status or concerns regarding your order. We would be more than happy to cancel this order and give you a complete refund. This soundproofing wrap did nothing to soundproof the pipe. We still hear the water flushing down the pipe every time the toilet flushes in the condo above us.

Good day Lisa, We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with your Quiet Wrap purchase. Unfortunately, there are several variables that could factor into the lack of performance that you are experiencing. The three rolls of Quiet Wrap that you purchased could cover as much as 6’ or as little 4.5’ of pipe depending on the diameter of the pipe. It’s a rarity that this quantity is enough to cover any standard length of pipe run, so we would ask to make sure that the entire pipe was wrapped, meaning no gaps, exposed areas or exposed pipe. That would mean from the source, in this case, the problem toilet, the entire pipe (even if some of the portion is on your neighbors side, or in your ceiling, etc.) would need to be completely wrapped in order for the product to sufficiently reduce or eliminate the sounds of the flushed water. You could have wrapped the pipe like a hot dog in a hot dog bun, which has proven to be inconsistent in performance because the product doesn’t hold itself in that shape well and is very rare that the wrap is able to fully envelope the pipe in this type of wrapping method. My furnace cold air return is located in my front entry hall which is right next to my TV room. When the furnace turned on I would have to turn up the TV volume. My goal was to absorb any sound within this duct. I used the 1 inch Echo absorbing cotton panels to line the cold air return duct and to line the blower compartment of my furnace. The noise reduction was noticeable, but not completely gone. My furnace air intake is very large/ oversized. Before doing this cotton panel install I removed my cold air return cover and their was no change in the noise. The noise I was trying to reduce was strictly blower / air flow noise within the blower. I no longer need to turn the TV louder when the furnace turns on. I used pin fasteners with slide on retainers along with construction adhesive. Overall the project was well worth it. The next step is to cover the outside of the cold air return duct and the outside of the blower compartment with MLV to dampen any other noises. I like this cotton panel product since it is not fiberglass.

Outrageously expensive delivery charge. Sent only 6 pieces of tape which is not even 5% of what is needed to complete the project with the amount I ordered. Quite dissapointed.

You chose Fed Ex to deliver your online order, we added Fed Ex to the delivery options to help customers pick the best shipping method and price for them. Carriers such as UPS and Fed Ex rates continue to increase, and unfortunately, we have no control over what these third party vendors charge. We are just as frustrated at the high costs and continual increases. Sadly, there is nothing that we can do about this. Your order weighed roughly 105 lbs per box, sent in 6 separate boxes, the charge you received was actually our discounted / negotiated rate of $581.31. We prefer to be transparent and lay out all costs for our customers, giving them shipping options. When viewing online order 34698, it looks as if you ordered a qty of 6 rolls / pcs for the Quiet Barrier Tape. Our website clearly describes the complete dimensions of the roll and what it will cover, I have added the link here: https://www.soundproofcow.com/product/quiet-barrier-tape/ and the information below. It also clearly states that one roll covers 8 linear feet, if you did not have enough material for your job that would be a calculation error, not an error on our end. Specifications Weight 3 lbs Dimensions 3 in. x 8 ft. Thickness 1/16 in. Weight 2 lbs. Coverage 8 linear ft. Quantity 1 roll As with any purchase, through any company, if you do not feel the shipping charge is reasonable, you do not have to purchase the material. Another option would be to call our sales team and discuss your project and your concerns. Our team would have told you that typically the Quiet Barrier Tape is used with our Quiet Barrier Specialty Composite, not our Impact Barrier QT Flooring underlayment. They could have also seen if another carrier, perhaps freight would have been a less expensive option, unfortunately, you did not call and speak with anyone on our team so we were unable to assist.
