Ripoff and no valid receipt
My mother got me a couples massage for 60 minutes. She paid $200, which I assume was a promotional rate. When we went to book it, the price for a couples massage was $278 + HST. Why would they have a gift certificate that doesn't cover the cost of the gift? I presume something to do with Canada/US exchange so my Mother didn't know she wasn't paying for the whole thing. I decided to have a 90 min massage. The receipt they sent me was only for the additional $5 I was charged, not the full cost of the massage. How can that be provided to the insurer for massage therapists? When I asked them to re-issue for the full amount that was actually paid, they said they couldn't. Which is ridiculous; of course they can. Follow up: Soothe's concierge subsequently in essence accused me of attempting to defraud my insurer because someone else paid for the massage, I forwarded these emails to Christopher and no response. So anyone thinking of getting a gift certificate/credit for someone else - don't. Or anyone who expects actual customer assistance, be prepared to be attacked versus helped. Just FYI for anyone reading, this is the first public review I've ever posted about anything; that's how bad this has been. The company should be ashamed.
