I’ve had a great experience as a therapist provider on SonderMind. I currently work with them as a 1099 clinician, and I’ve found the platform to be fair, organized, and clinician-friendly. Although the fee structure changes after the 90791 intake, the ongoing flat fee feels reasonable for the support, systems, and ease of use provided. Their internal EHR is one of the better platforms I’ve used, and my clients consistently seem to appreciate the client-facing experience. They especially like the post-session “takeaways” they receive once I complete my notes, which adds value and reinforces the work we do in session. I also appreciated the onboarding process, including the onboarding companion, which made getting started much smoother. I did interview for the W-2 therapist role, but ultimately decided that the 1099 side is the better fit for me. The W-2 model seemed like it could create a higher risk of burnout or make it harder to sustain the level of quality care I want to provide. As an independent contractor, I feel I can maintain more clinical flexibility, balance, and consistency. Overall, SonderMind has been a positive platform for my clients and I.

My therapist was absolutely wonderful. He helped through a difficult time that no counselor ever has. Sondermind, the company was the worst. Sondermind is the definition of diabolical. I last saw my therapist in March, 2026. Since that time, they continue charging me. My therapist provided proof that he cancelled all future appointments. They still keep charging me. Pay cash if you can, do not give them any credit information.
