I am writing this review with deep disappointment regarding my recent experience with this recruitment process. When I first spoke with the recruiter, she assured me that I was the ideal candidate for the position and gave me clear instructions on what to complete. I followed every step promptly — including the typing test, submitting my CV, and recording a video — which she confirmed she had uploaded. She made it clear there were no other candidates for the role at that time and remained positive and encouraging throughout our ongoing communication on WhatsApp for over a week. However, after a promising start and even participating in a late-night assessment at 11 PM, communication abruptly stopped. Despite my attempts to follow up, I received no response. I had already resigned from my previous job based on the belief that this opportunity was secured — a belief reinforced by her words and confidence in me. When she finally responded, her tone had completely changed. She appeared to take out her frustrations on me — I still have the voice notes to support this. Shortly afterward, I was told the position had gone to someone else, and later learned she had actually resigned. This raised concerns for me about her professionalism and where her loyalty truly lay. To make matters worse, I continue applying for roles, but the responses I receive feel completely automated, and promises of callbacks never happen. This experience has not only left me unemployed but also disillusioned by a process that seemed hopeful at first but ended in silence and unprofessionalism. I hope sharing this will encourage more accountability in recruitment practices.

She let me know the client retracted the project and still ended on a solid note—saying she’d keep my profile in mind if something aligned. That simple gesture goes a long way. It shows respect. Now compare that to others I’ve dealt with in the same agency. You reached out first—pushed for urgent replies, asked for my availability, scheduled calls, requested a recorded video. I showed up, gave time and effort, only for you to disappear completely. No update. No follow-through. No closure. Just playing gatekeeper and wasting people's time. Honestly, it feels like you’ve been abducted by aliens. One minute, we're actively talking. Then silence. No warning. No explanation. Just gone. And then, boom—another person from your team reaches out, all enthusiastic, same process, same energy... and again, nothing. This puts candidates in a messed-up spot. I’m sitting here unsure if I should keep waiting for something I was genuinely invested in—or just take the job offer I have now, even if it’s not my priority. That kind of silence affects real decisions, real outcomes. This isn't just poor communication. It's disgraceful. If you’re going to initiate, follow through. Don’t leave people hanging after dragging them through the process.

I am extremely disappointed with the hiring process at Somewhere.com. After multiple interviews, I was given an offer letter and included in training and onboarding, only to have the offer revoked later. The reason? A baseless concern over my personal activities as a forex trader, which I pursue outside of working hours and which has never interfered with my professional responsibilities. I opted to take this job because it fits my schedule and I have never come across a company that revokes an offer due to a candidate's personal interests. It is a red flag. Throughout the process, I was transparent and honest, yet the company failed to reciprocate that transparency. If this was a concern, it should have been addressed during the interview stage—not after extending an offer and beginning onboarding. This reflects a clear lack of professionalism, poor communication, and an utter disregard for candidates’ time and effort. To make matters worse, issuing an offer letter before completing reference checks and verifying qualifications is a flawed and illogical hiring practice. It creates unnecessary uncertainty and damages the trust candidates place in the organization. This experience has left me questioning the company’s culture and values. I urge others to think twice before engaging with an organization that treats candidates with such disrespect and carelessness.

We went to this company for assistance in hiring a customer support representative. Our process involved providing them with an assessment for candidates to complete. Initially, we were impressed by the candidate’s assessment performance, leading us to hire them. It's important to mention that before proceeding, we asked if it would be possible to trial the candidate first. Given that our company operates in a very niche industry, we require someone who can learn quickly - something that cannot be fully evaluated through the initial assessment alone. A hands-on trial would have allowed us to determine whether the candidate was truly suited for the role. Unfortunately, they didn't allow us to do this. The candidate left after just three days as they did not meet expectations. Given the brevity of their employment, we requested a refund, which was declined. Instead, they suggested providing us with another candidate. By this point, we had already filled the original position through referrals but decided to proceed with their suggestion for a different role we needed to fill. The second experience was worse. They consistently sent us candidates who failed our assessments, turning the hiring process into a lengthy and frustrating ordeal. Despite investing significant time and effort in reviewing assessments and explaining what we're looking for, none of the candidates met our requirements. We then requested another refund, as the process had become unproductive, and we felt it was no longer worth pursuing. Once again, our request was denied. Overall, we found their service to be inflexible and unaccommodating, leaving us with no tangible results and a poor experience.

Possibly the worst service provider I have ever used in my professional life. To make it even worse, they actually used to be great! All of a sudden everything got so bad with them. Their way of operating, their quality of communication, and of course the candidates they offered. In the past, I referred many businesses to these guys, and I've hired 5 people from them, but now I am shocked by how awful their service level is and I will never ever recommend or use their service again because they are so unprofessional.

On my intro call the Somewhere sales rep told me it would be $500 total to get a VA. He explained that if they couldn't find a good VA they would refund the deposit. However, if they got one, they would keep the deposit. $500 is a steep finders fee but it seemed fair enough! They sent over an LOI to get rolling which I auto-signed and they got me a good VA within 3 days and I was happy. 500 bucks. 15 minutes of work on their end... fair trade! Then they sent me an invoice for an additional $4500 because what I thought was a LOI was actually a 5-page work agreement that said I would pay a % of the VAs annual salary. They never communicated that to me until the invoice was sent to me _____________________ I would've never used them if I had known it would be this expensive ($5000). They deceived me and now they're chasing me with a collections company. What went from a remarkable experience became a very ugly and unfortunate situation due to lack of communication, lack of transparency on pricing, and then sending a client to collections without trying to negotiate. Would have been better off doing it myself. Recruiter paid little attention to detail and gave low quality irrelevant candidates after all the hype of how good this service is supposed to be.

They present you with subpar candidates. Their communication post sales is non-existent. Think of it as a deposit grab scheme.
