“Everyone always asks... how can you afford to charge so little for such a high quality product?”Here’s our story...the Solid Wood Cabinet Company is a “factory-direct” retail company, established in 2002, that has sold over one million cabinets. Last year we delivered over 4,000 Dream Kitchens. Our products are sourced directly from our factories worldwide to our 160,000 square foot assembly facility where we stock over 100,000 cabinets and build over 1,500 cabinets each week. We cut out the middlemen which means you are getting low factory direct pricing for a premium, high-quality product. Many of our competitors sell cabinets that are made with MDF or particle board construction and other sub-par materials. Because of the superior solid wood quality, and 25 step finish, we can offer a ‘‘Lifetime Warranty’’ on our cabinets compared with the five or ten year warranty you see elsewhere. Our cabinets are proudly designed by Solid Wood Cabinets in Pennsylvania, parts are fabricated globally, they are assembled in our Levittown, Pennsylvania factory, and are KCMA certified and Carb 2 compliant. We manufacture our cabinets to strict quality control standards. With European style hinges; dovetail drawers with soft-close, full-extension and under mount glides; 6 way adjustable hinges; stained-to-match finished interiors, metal rear ‘L’ bracket assembly, 1/2” rear hanging rail, and much more, they offer superior quality and finish. Our cabinets undergo a 25 step finishing process and are built with Grade ‘A’ plywood box construction and a solid wood door and face frame.

We traveled to N.J. since our contractor recommended Solid Wood. Our salesman was friendly and knowledgeable. We walked out feeling good about the buy. About 3 weeks later the cabinets arrived as promised...but with the missing glass doors that were ordered....back-shipped. We find out a couple of weeks later that we are missing the front of one cabinet...called our salesman and he assured us they would be sent out...and they were. The fun begins: our contractor begins the job. Microwave cabinet has 3 drawers....should be ready with a shelf for themicrowave...it was not. Our contractor had to reconfigure the cabinet at a cost to us. Next - we need a cabinet to fit a farm sink. It does not. Called salesman - we'll send you 2 smaller doors and your contractor can reconfigure...again - at another cost to us. Doors arrive... 1" too short. Contractor places glass doors on 3 of our cabinets....they are 2 short..and there is 1/2" gap where they meet. Call salesman - we will send you solid doors - your contractor will drill them out and insert glass. Not only at a cost to us....but now they want to wrong doors returned and we cannot use that glass and must order new glass at a cost to us. It's 3 weeks now...still waiting on solid doors. The one pair that my contractor drove down to NJ to get....turn out to be the wrong style.....so now our kitchen has 3 cabinets with no doors. All the shelves they send were 1/16" too big...my contractor had to trim each one. And finally...we ordered a specific broom closet. They sent us a brook closet with a shelf and because of the shelf - there is no broom small enough to fit in closet...so my contractor is cutting a slot on one side to house brooms/mops etc. It's 3 weeks before Christmas...my whole family is coming to not only see our new house but our new kitchen and I have this feeling that thanks to "Solid Wood Cabinets" it will be unfinished and has cost me hundreds of dollars more to rectify all of the mistakes they made. We thought this would be our "dream" kitchen... it was our "nightmare" kitchen. It's a few days later....and the company delivered all the needed doors as they promised. Their product is excellent...kitchen looks great...so after a few bumps it all worked out and the family will be able to enjoy the holidays with our new kitchen. All is well that ends well.

I could go through a big long story but here is the short version. They sent me out scratched cabinets that were marked up and scratched. They even had touch up marker on them. They then offered to replace them. I reluctantly agreed. When they realized that I was going to hold them to the quality standard that they advertised the CEO Steve Newton called me and said that they weren't going to be ablate send me cab net that did not have touch marker on them. That's like buying a brand new car with touch up paint on it. Normally don't write review but I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

We deeply regret the experience Mr. S has had as this is not the outcome we had hoped for. For most customers, buying a kitchen is a once in a life time experience that is often uprooting and nerve wrecking. Ripping apart the existing kitchen, the heart of the home, picking out flooring, counter tops & finding quality cabinetry for an affordable price is a huge undertaking. Customer expectations of how they picture their dream kitchen are met with real life budgets and plumbing, electrical and other problems. Here at The Solid Wood Cabinet Company we pride ourselves on being able to provide contractors & home owners with a balance of good quality cabinetry for an affordable price. We have been in business since 2002 and in a typical year we deliver over 3,500 quality kitchens that we are proud to back up with our life time warranty. Post-delivery of Mr. S's kitchen he called us to report a dent in a door, bent frame, and a crack on the side of a cabinet. These were delivery incurred damages that happen from time to time. We told Mr. S that we would like to pick his kitchen up, assemble new cabinets & re-deliver. We were in continued communication with the customer, inviting him to our warehouse to view the cabinets prior to re-delivery to make sure we met his expectations. During these calls it became apparent that even though we were preparing to deliver the same quality cabinets as displayed in our showroom, we would not be able to satisfy Mr. S's expectations for his dream kitchen. At this time we explained to Mr. S that we felt that the best solution was to provide him with a full refund rather than continue to fail to meet his expectations. This was understandably not the solution that he wanted as he explained that the color cabinets he chose was hard to come by. Our CEO felt compelled to personally reach out to him to explain that dark stained cabinets have higher visibility of stain variations. This sometimes requires touch up post assembly. This is a common industry wide practice that Mr. S disagreed with. We wish Mr. S the best of luck in his kitchen remodel & truly wish the outcome of his experience was better and that he finds what he is looking for. We immediately arranged for the full amount of his purchase to be refunded to his account.

It's been 4 months trying to resolve the issue. Highly incompetent staff, not customer friendly at all, lack customer service attitude. Missing drawer fronts, shelves, doors. Still not sent , unable to complete my project. Parts were broken, not labeled. Company doesn't have the attitude to resolve problems. They should just close their doors forever so that innocent customers like us are not tortured investing a lot with them. Complete rip off Please see reviews from other customers who are experiencing similar issues as me. None of the missing items have been provided to date. I have called your office several times asking for an update on when the missing items will be sent but there has been no response. In fact the only information you have on file is my contractor's and you have called him and spoken to him and have received the same response. The parts are missing. Your office called me to get my home address which I provided but still haven't seen the face of the missing parts. You have kept an extensive record of misinformation from your sales team. What we were promised and signed for is still not delivered completely and your office refuses to respond to my inquiries. As mentioned you are more than welcome to stop by and see the incomplete cabinets any time but your office doesn't seem to want to resolve this issue. The dispute is not failed, very much valid and is still on going. We have done upgrades worth $150k but this such a small portion of our upgrade has given us the utmost grief, with countless hours wasted explaining to your team in emails and over the phone on what is missing, but to no avail.

We are really sorry that you feel this way, however as you now know, your credit card company has completed a full investigation and advised you that Solid Wood Cabinets has fulfilled its obligations. As a company we know that we have tried everything possible to come to a satisfactory resolution for all involved. Even after you disputed payment with your credit card company, we still tried to work with you. This is the reason your credit card company sided with us in your dispute. We have replaced several items that you claimed to be missing after your kitchen was picked up, meaning we supplied additional items valued well over $150, free of charge to you. When you picked up your kitchen it was checked and signed for (by you) that everything was present, and in good condition. But, these missing item claims kept coming, and to the point we believed you to be mistaken, or your contractor had used them elsewhere. You clearly were not sure what you had, or where anything was to be installed. Also several times you refused to allow us to talk to your contractor to verify things. We have logs of extensive emails and phone calls with our Customer Care Team, who dedicated many hours in trying to resolve your issues. You were described each item in detail, where everything goes, what your 'contractor' has to do to install the provided parts, and at no time were any damaged items reported. Finally, we offered to send a representative from our company to your residence to see exactly what was there, and clear up this whole issue once and for all. You decided you could not accommodate this request within the hours that were offered (8:30am -5pm Mon - Fri). Again I apologize if your project didn't run as smoothly as you imagined. But, I think your review is very unfair, and was proved to be by the failed dispute you placed. It is in no way a true or fair reflection on us, or how we tried to deal with this matter.

I have been working with my daughter in the renovation of her new kitchen. On delivery day we were informed that several pieces were back ordered. She is missing doors and drawer fronts to four cabinets, a panel needed next to the refrigerator and the peninsula panels. That's a lot of pieces for a medium sized kitchen! My daughter has told me that customer service was very nice, said they have the pieces and directed her to call scheduling to have them delivered. She has not been able to reach scheduling however. Very frustrating and the more time that goes by the angrier we get. My daughter saved for years to have this kitchen. If nothing happens this week I will make a report to the BBB and spread the word of their Scotty organization thru every media outlet at my disposal. SWC do your job and the right thing!! I've given three stars instead of two because the cabinets we did receive look great and are in good shape. But unfortunately this does her no good with an incomplete kitchen!

Still trying to resolve our (more than 20 K) investment. I am so sick and tiered of trying to get what we were sold NOT WHAT THEY FEEL LIKE WE SHOULD BE WILLING TO ACCEPT!!!!!!! The latest is we were sold (NOT GIVEN) for them in order for me to remove my HONEST review two pieces of 1/4" plywood for $$$ 483.00 yea that is not a misprint 4 FOUR HUNDRED AND 83 EIGHTY THREE DOLLARS and that was at thier gracious discount 50% off . So without the discount it would be 9 NINE HUNDRED AND 66 SIXTY SIX DOLLARS. If you are not familiar with plywood pricing PLEASE take a look at some . The highest I found for one side with a CHEAP coating 1/4" plywood is about $90 with shipping. Will never mind the price. After we recieved the 2 pieces of plywood all wrapped in shipping papper we didn't open it to look. BIGG MISTAKE It is the wrong plywood the correct type has a bead every 2 inches , they sent plain plywood and now refuse to correct it. They flat out refuse because they feel that we should be happy with what they sent.......... DO NOT EVER WANT ANYONE TO HAVE THIS KIND OF BUYING EXPERIENCE. I'm going to LOWES it's closer and have no problems there!!!!!!!!

We strive to provide our customers with the highest levels of customer service and feel that we have gone above and beyond to satisfy any occurrences related to the Mullins account. As a result of these continued attempts by Mr. David Mullins to use bad reviews to threaten us, we have effectively closed this account and will no longer be able to supply our product. This review was posted by our customer’s son David Mullins, who is not a customer of Solid Wood Cabinets. Our customer, Fred Mullins, purchased a kitchen from us in December of 2014. Since that time, there have been some exchanges, returns and additional orders for new product placed on this account, by David, acting on Fred’s behalf. Fred Mullins has been a pleasure to work with and according to his sales rep, any items that needed extra attention or replacement, we have been able to service with no issue. David Mullins has had a repeated pattern of attempts to extort our customer care department by calling into our office and threatening to write bad reviews on social media should he not receive items according to his demands. Most of David’s actions have been done in order to obtain free product and refunds for sales placed by his father, independently on the Fred Mullins account. The following are items we have offered as compensation to satisfy David Mullins’ demands since December 2014: - SWC waived shipping fee for an even exchange of a 30x18 wall cabinet for a 30x12, $75.00 value (note: customer ordered incorrect size wall cabinet at the time of sale.) - Waived restock fee for assembled product return of the 30X18 cabinet, $33.00 value - After first escalated phone call complaint to Cust. Care Manager from David Mullins regarding the wall cabinet replacements mentioned above, we provided free crown molding, $235.85 value - SWC later waived shipping and restock fees for various assembled wall cabinet and corner sink front returns, $301.83 value - After second escalated phone call complaint to Cust. Care Manager from David Mullins regarding pricing of product, we provided a credit reimbursement as customer satisfaction item for a side panel, $178.54 value Total amount of complimentary credits to customer’s (Fred Mullins) account: $824.22 The customer care manager had spoken to Fred Mullins on the second complaint report from David; Manager had mentioned she was following up regarding an issue with a side panel; Mr. Fred Mullins had no knowledge of a complaint ever happening. As you can see, our customer’s son has a pattern of acting on his father’s behalf, without his knowledge in some cases, to obtain credits and free product, even though he has not been a customer of ours. This most recent review was sparked when customer care was instructed to no longer speak with David regarding the Fred Mullins account, only to Fred should he call in with concerns or issues to report.

Love the way the designer interacts and it is very difficult to find anywhere else. I am a very tough sale and the designer had a ton of patience with me. I purchased my kitchen over a year ago the cabinets are fabulous and I highly recommend this company. Today my mother ordered her kitchen and my designer is no longer there but we used Mordy and he was even better.

While shopping for kitchen cabinets, our first thought was"We'll just stop into Solid Wood Cabinets (SWC) in order to get a benchmark for price and quality". We had no intention of buying our cabinets from here because we didn't know much about them. But after many passes through other cabinet suppliers (and that is a big difference), we kept coming back to SWC. SWC not only supplies the cabinets but they also manufacture. The cabinets we kept comparing just couldn't be beat without stepping up to something custom made - which meant a lot more money. Our salesman Tim in Moorestown is easy to deal with, no high pressure tactics, and most importantly extremely knowledgable in the business. If you want to take the research out of your cabinet selection process, just read here. It was a no brainer for us. J & S of Mt. Laurel
