Solidarity causes financial strain
Our membership with Solidarity was over 2 years. During the entire duration of membership our family was put into financial strain for 2 reasons: firstly because we were required to pay medical bills over $5,000 without receiving reimbursement for at least 10 months. Secondly because we were repeatedly sent to collections for the bills that Solidarity said they would pay. It took them 2 plus years to pay for one of our c-sections. During that time I was hounded with phone calls and mail demanding payment from collections. Our monthly contributions to Solidarity were always in full and on time. I paid $5,724.06 out of pocket for my wrist surgery 3 years ago (2023) and haven't received a cent of reimbursement to date (2026) from Solidarity! Although their staff is always friendly, their system is grievously unorganized. Several times they completely lost paperwork that they said that they previously received. I could go on extensively with a lengthy list of frustrations. The amount of time I spend on hold and on the phone with them seemed like a part-time job. It seems very likely that they are going bankrupt. We switched to Zion and have had a completely opposite experience. Bills are paid on time without hassle and reimbursement is within 24 hours!
