The last resume I wrote was 20 years…
The last resume I wrote was 20 years ago. COVID-19 suddenly put me in the job market again and I felt lost. I applied for a couple of jobs with an updated version of my 2001 resume and heard NOTHING...not even a confirmation message that the document had been received. After talking with a friend, I learned something which made me feel helpless and angry at the same time. Did you know after submitting an online resume, it is sent through some sort of computer system tasked to look for “key words”? If your resume doesn’t contain enough of these buzz words, your resume falls into the abyss and is never even SEEN by those who make hiring decisions. So I started looking for help. After reviewing several agencies offering assistance, and not having a lot of money to spend, I found promotedresume.com. They offered several pricing packages from which to choose. Marc LeFavre contacted me to set-up a time to chat, questioned me in depth about the type of job I was looking to find, and sent me the first draft of a totally reformatted document for my review within a few days. I have one job offer already and am waiting for another on Monday! Using promotedresume.com gave me confidence when submitting my resume. I knew it contained the correct words and was formatted in such a way to be competitive. This is the reason I’ve given a five star review. I hope these words help in your decision-making process and wish you the best of luck in your pursuits!
