Well.... I paid you your fee and yet you sent me to collections without any form of notice.
Response from SOLD.comFeb 18, 2026
We’re truly sorry for the frustration this caused. We understand how upsetting it must have felt to receive a collections notice.
While we did receive an ACH payment around the time this referral closed, it came from the brokerage without any remittance details, property address, or agent reference. Because of that, we had no way to connect the payment to your specific transaction. We followed up when we couldn’t match the payment but unfortunately didn’t receive a response, and with no identifiable record tying the funds to this referral, the account was ultimately sent to collections.
As soon as we were able to connect and clarify what happened, we immediately canceled the collection effort.
This was a breakdown in communication, and we sincerely apologize for the stress it caused. We value our agent partners and appreciate the opportunity to resolve it quickly once we reconnected.

To much of a fee!
This was one of the longest deals that I ever worked. I then ended up payment sold.com way to much for them making 1 phone call.
Once under contract, you end up getting harassed by their team even when you update THEIR portal with updates to closing dates.

Hey Chris,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience felt frustrating, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide some clarity.
While it may appear on the agent side that a single call led to this appointment, this particular homeowner first came to SOLD.com back in 2021. Over the course of several years, our team made multiple outreach attempts and ran a long-term nurture process — including repeated calls and dozens of emails — to build trust and stay engaged until the seller was truly ready to move forward. That ongoing effort is ultimately what led to the July 2024 appointment being set for you.
We also understand that this transaction took longer than expected to reach the finish line. In our experience, that’s not uncommon — many sellers require significant time before listing, and a large part of our value is staying consistent and present so our agents are in position when the seller is finally ready.
Regarding follow-up on the referral fee, we apologize if this felt excessive. Unfortunately, because referral fees are success-based and only due at closing, we do need to be diligent in tracking transactions to ensure accuracy and fairness across our agent network. That said, your feedback on how this communication felt is noted.
We do want to acknowledge that you’ve successfully closed two transactions through SOLD.com referrals and currently have additional opportunities in your pipeline. That said, if the program isn’t a fit for you moving forward, we completely understand. Your account is on our free, pay-at-closing platform, and we’re happy to remove you at any time upon request. You can reach us directly at [email protected], and we’ll take care of it promptly.
We appreciate you working with us and wish you continued success, whichever path you choose.

No Supervisor Available
Lack of support when I called about a billing issue. The representative was unable to connect me to a supervisor as he works from home. He said he would send the supervisor a message. However, no one ever called or reached out to me about the issue. Instead I recieved an email stating the issue was resolved. No follow up phone call from the supervisor I asked to speak with. However, you guys were very quick to call me several times trying to sell me zipcodes.

I lost money on the transaction
I lost money on the transaction. 35% on a low end transaction that took a year to bring to market. Terrible paperwork.

35% referral fee is outrageous
18 months for a client to say no and then come back to the agent 6 to 12 months later and the agent having to pay a 35% referral fee is way to high and way to long. My community is very small. Most of the people here we know so sold.com doesn't really do enough work to justify a 35% referral fee 6 or 12 months after the client initially says no. I cancelled due to this. Your services of literally only providing a phone number and a name is not worth 35% of my livelihood.

very missleading
As I mentioned to them over the phone I felt very mislead. I never rembered signing a contract to give them a referal on any deals. Then they ended up taking a very large portion of commission. Then to "make it better" they tried to offer me discounted zip codes and then at my scheduled call with them they said that the discount was no longer valid even though they had just given it to me a few days ago.
Response from SOLD.comFeb 13, 2024
Sorry to hear about your experience. Our referral agreements are signed digitally when you initially sign up and we send email confirmation once signed as well. Congrats on closing the deal on 708 West Main Street. Looks like you have a few more listings coming as well from appointments we set up! Exciting! If you are interested in sponsoring zip codes still, I will connect you with our sales manager to talk to you about the promo you were offered.

Lead where seller had a Bankruptcy
It was a lead where seller had a bankruptcy, these take a lot of time and work to get closed. Many buyers will walk away prior to getting approvals.
