Appalling breach of contract and upfront extortion
I am absolutely disgusted by how Snoots Vet and their referral partner, Veteris, handled my dog Bennie’s care on 10 October 2026. Snoots had already done a consultation, sent all of Bennie's information over, and sent us to Veteris specifically for an X-ray. Despite this, Veteris forced me to pay a £150 consultation fee upfront before anyone would even look at him.
Once inside, it only got worse. Bennie was suffering from a dangerous 40.1°C fever, yet they failed to provide any primary stabilisation or medication to bring it down. Instead, they demanded further upfront fees, trying to charge £300 for full blood panels (which are explicitly advertised as 100% free and covered under my Snoots subscription) and quoting an astronomical £1,500–£2,000 for hospitalisation and imaging.
This is a clear, material breach of contract. Snoots completely fails to provide the care and diagnostic coverage they promise. I have blocked all future transactions through my bank, refused their £99 cancellation fee, and demanded the immediate closure of both my puppies accounts.
EDITED
Oh they have now. Canceled as a good will gesture 🙄

Very upset with the whole experience
Very upset with the whole experience. I joined the membership 2-3 months ago since I found an abandoned kitten and decided to keep her. Unfortunately she is ill with a parasite. She had diarrhoea for two months and now she stopped eating.
I am trying to get through someone since 8am with no luck. Every email feels like they are answering only to clear their email box without giving a clear solution. They got no phone number to contact them and one issue can be dragged for few days instead of being resolved straight away.
I am happy with the vet but the customer support makes the whole experience stressful.

I wouldn't even give them one star if…
I wouldn't even give them one star if that was an option. Took my senior cat there under their membership. What he really needed was some more investigation and not just come back in 3 months for another blood test. Instead he went severly downhill over those months and I felt like I had nonone to help properly guide him in the right direction. Consequently, I put him to sleep. I feel like they don't want to do anything in the plan because it costs them money! They didn't even have his age correct on his file.

I wouldn’t really give them 1 star if…
I wouldn’t really give them 1 star if it were possible. We signed up for snoots because a friend recommended them for the fact X-rays are included in the membership and our young dog had recently started limping. We paid a year upfront and were referred for the x-ray, but then were informed that only a minimum amount was offered by them, because they needed to check our dogs elbow and shoulder we had to pay the rest, so we did. The results were inconclusive, so they told us to get him physio which we’ve been doing over a year now. They are refusing to image his other shoulder or repeat the x-ray on the same side, claiming that they only offer ‘diagnostic x-rays’ despite not outlining this on their website. They’ve done nothing for our dog and have stated they are just maintenance vets.
Their ‘maintenance’ is also poor, we booked an appointment for animal health certificate to travel, we made it through their booking team and weren’t informed at the time nor before the appointment which was made over a month in advance that our dog was due his rabies vaccine. We were driving to Italy for our wedding, but the dog wasn’t able to come and we had to spend over a grand on care for him. I understand it’s the owners responsibility to check vaccines, but his previous vet would tell us via text and surely this should have been something the booking team checked at the time I booked, or the team who sent the reminder checked before my appointment, they instead informed me the day of, stating it had happened 3 times already that week and they were sorry.
It’s a bad vet, you can’t get appointments and need to outline everything over WhatsApp to try and be seen earlier. They care about saving themselves costs only. Really wish I hadn’t paid

I thought it was a great deal
I signed up for the annual membership in May.
The premises feels more like a fire exit than a clinic: a crafty shaky bench with some padding on top and no reception area. Every visit felt like I was interrupting something, even though there were never more than 3 people and a pet on the premises at once. I was never acknowledged by name, my pet's name, or my booking. Having been there on 4 occasions in immediate succession, it always felt like I had to initiate the interaction myself.
This practice feels disorganised and impersonal. Staff come across as aloof and show little empathy. Booking and communication run through a chaotic WhatsApp group where you never know if you are talking to a manager, remote staff, or the clinic, and they often contradict each other.
In early July, I asked to have my dog's nails trimmed after experiencing a torn nail in December, but the locum vet only clipped his dew claws and decided it was unnecessary to do the rest. 20 days later, he tore an overgrown nail. After that minor injury, we visited once, and he was made to attend a sedated follow-up the next day. Both visits lasted under two minutes. On the first occasion, I experienced unprofessional handling of my booking by the staff there. As I said, it always feels like you are bothering someone.
A week later, some bleeding occurred. I provided videos, photos, and details of what was going on and asked in the WhatsApp group to just collect medication myself and monitor him for another week. Someone on WhatsApp told me that was the right thing to do and to keep in touch, while another person went ahead and booked me for the next day at 12:00 PM. I was still required to bring my dog in, sedated, at noon in 32°C heat with the sun overhead, while he was limping.
After train delays and some erratic communication via WhatsApp, I arrived to find they wouldn't see him at all. They started blaming me for not arriving on time—though I wasn't questioning the delay, but rather the purpose of coming at all and why they were booking appointments I didn't need. No welfare check was offered, despite him being sedated, limping, and out in extreme heat.
When I asked what to do and why I kept getting unnecessary appointments, staff offered no help beyond telling me to take it up with a manager or the remote team. Again, no empathy, no basic social skills, and the same defensiveness encountered since day one. Talking to a brick wall.
Walking away, I said, "f*** it, I'll deal with it myself".
I complained about the disorganisation, lack of care, and missed welfare check. Only then did Snoots characterize that frustrated remark as aggressive and insulting, using it to immediately cancel my membership over "abusive language". When I asked for a refund under consumer rights, they claimed their policy didn't require one, but refunded the unused portion as a "gesture of goodwill" without addressing the safety concerns.
Overall, this is a disorganised practice that failed to properly manage care and responded to a legitimate safety complaint by weaponizing a comment made in frustration rather than addressing their own service failures. It wasn't welcoming or comfortable, and I guess it's true that you get what you pay for.
Also important to note: their staff members leave them 5-star Google reviews.

Not a good start
Currently trying to talk to them via WhatsApp in order to get some information before deciding to join. Dr Pino has been completely unhelpful. After asking a question, I got a generic response that look like they hadn't even bothered to read the message. When I pointed out that I'd actually given them the information and they stopped responding. Was going to opt in for the 2-year plan. Dr Pino lost you money today.

I am extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Snoots Vets.
We signed up for the annual healthcare plan for our elderly cat after reviewing the benefits that were advertised, including dental coverage. One of the key reasons we chose this plan was because our cat requires dental treatment, and we wanted the reassurance that this would be covered.
Following our initial consultation, we specifically discussed his dental needs and were reassured regarding treatment. Based on those discussions and the advertised benefits, we proceeded with the plan in good faith.
However, we have now been contacted by Snoots and informed that dental work is no longer covered. This change has come only after we had already signed up and paid for the plan, leaving us in a position where a significant benefit that influenced our decision to join has effectively been removed.
It feels as though we were encouraged to sign up on the basis of one set of benefits, only to be told shortly afterwards that those benefits no longer apply. Had we known that dental treatment would not be covered, we would have seriously reconsidered whether the plan represented value for money for our circumstances.
For a veterinary practice, trust and transparency are essential. Unfortunately, this experience has left us feeling misled and disappointed. We signed up expecting the advertised benefits and the assurances given during consultation to be honoured, not withdrawn after the fact.
I hope Snoots will reconsider how these changes are communicated and how existing customers who joined under the previous terms are treated.
