I went with the upgrade and so far I am ok with that decision. I will have to wait and see how the system works, the tech service (I have the Extended Warranty) and the Customer Service. Originally I had 2 free months when I first signed up. Now with the upgrade I have no free months, but they did waive the installation fee. It still would be nice to get one month free. Thank you.

I'm so glad I got rid of my old alarm system and called Smith. I feel like I've been upgraded to the ultimate in security for my home. The tech is wonderful and explained everything to me. This whole thing is awesome!!!!

Joe was top notch! He walked me step by step through the whole install and explained everything each step of the way. Went the extra mile to make sure everything looked seamless. Most techs would run the wire along the wall. Not Joe! He fished those pesky wires through the wall for a very seamless and professional look. Couldn't be more pleased. A++++. First of all, the company was able to schedule my installation for the very next day when I called about service ... which was unbelievable, and I could actually have had an installation appointment the same day if I myself had been free to meet the technician. He arrived right on time, at the beginning of my time window which was also great. I had been under the impression from my conversation with the salesman that the new system from Smith would be able to work with the existing contacts and equipment I had from my former security provider. As it turned out it was not compatible, but even so, the installer was able to quickly adapt the plan to include everything I was expecting AND also provide me with replacements for the three door contacts, panel and wireless interface for the same price quoted originally. I was able to have the control panel located exactly where I needed it to be as well, with minimal invasion to the wall and no visible wiring. Looking forward to getting to know and expand my new system. I would recommend Smith Monitoring for anyone interested in upgrading to Z Wave technology for their combined security and smart home needs.
