I can speak from experience
As someone who has had braces and put three kids in traditional braces I can speak from experience. The initial set up was fairly straight forward. The impressions were not difficult to make and within about a month my son was in aligners. I made it clear to him in the beginning that it was his responsibility to send in the required photos and follow the treatment plan. The aligners fit well. He would have discomfort for a couple days with each new aligner which was expected. He had trouble leaving them alone and not clicking them in and out with his tongue but got better about it over time. The six-month-long process went fairly well however, when he had questions through the process he did not feel like they were addressed well. He would get automated hoops to jump through and never get real answers. Since this was his deal, I left it at that. However, when he got to his final retainer, he said it didn't fit well and would not stay on so he went back to the last aligner for his retainer. When I told him to follow up with Smileie he said based on his prior experience it was no use. His teeth are straight and the price was very reasonable but the customer service during and after the process were very lacking. Based on my experience I am debating whether or not to get them for my wife and I in the future.
