On Tuesday October 6th, 2026 I visited a Smashburger restaurant in the Bronx, NY, near West 233rd Street, Riverdale. Upon entering the establishment a woman who I take was a manager was on her phone, then she looked up to ask “are you ready to order”? No, welcome to Smashburger, no smile, just negative and dry. I then began to make my order and instead of taking my order she took that want I ordered would cost more, yet, I knew she was incorrect. After somewhat battling to get my order taken, she went back to her phone. Once my order was completed, she passed the bag, no appreciation, nothing to ensure I would return. This is the type of people being hired to ensure to pay low wages, yet, to expect high profit margins. This is a poor example of the hiring process, evaluation of talent, and positioning employees as management which is a clear representation of the companies low standards.

Complete garbage. Burger was a slop of a mess, soggy onion rings, crap chips and the chicken wings went in the bin. Terrible

I ordered eggs on bread and waited 45 minutes for my food. When I asked about the delay, I was told the kitchen was handling other orders, despite the restaurant being almost empty, with only one other table occupied by two people.

You have a bs card transaction machine that makes people feel like they have to tip. O% should be the first option not a 2nd screen. You confuse old people into giving more $. I had to help a old person because the girl was trying to get him to tip.

Bought a gift card based on an email advertisimg 20% off. Was charged full price, no discount. Complained and sent Smashburger the email directed to my email address. They are 'researching' the issue. Still no reply as of this writing. Will dispute with my credit card company. Never again. Their 2.9 rating with Trustpilot is too high and beyond their true value. Inundated with fake positive reviews in my opinion. Not to be trusted and undeserving of your patronage. Shop elsewhere at companies which are honest and can be trusted is my advice!

SERVICE SUCKS the worst you can imagine. Placed order in still, big mistake not to check it before we left! Got home 25 minute drive , order wrong, called pissed off, they said they knew it was wrong correct burger sitting on counter waiting on our call. Drove back, wrong burger waiting had to wait for the right burger 58 minutes later finally leaving. My father called to complain, he said the same person who answered the phone and was told to get the manager pretended to be the manager. She knew nothing about the issues with the order the extended wait time, he mentioned problems with French fries under cooked, Brussels sprouts un edible???? the alleged manager who sounded like she was 16 years old, began to argue with me over the phone stating that she knew the french fries were cooked and they weren’t undercooked and she knew the brussels sprouts were edible. I continued to tell her that they weren’t, she continued to argue with me. Then she told me not to disrespect her. I told her the time to capture and regain. The customer had long gone. They had an opportunity when my son showed up to give him a complete refund on the order. They did nothing. They giggled when I mentioned the issues on the phone when the original person picked up they giggled and laughed about the order being wrong and having him wait while the additional hamburger was made, there is a teenage daycare center in the kitchen area. I continued to tell the woman on the phone or the teenager whatever that the time to try to get my business back had long failed telling me that I was disrespecting her because I was calling around on bad service and arguing with me about the doneness of the french fries which were a block of cold greasy fries and the brussels sprouts that were barely even cooked and when we put them in a cup, only measured one cup of brussels sprouts only halfway filling a container. This place has the worst service imaginable. I told her to watch for my review review on yelp in my review on Google and she continued to argue with me. I asked her what her name was and she refused to even give me her first name. I told her to start looking for a job that I would be calling the corporate office on Monday we would never come back again. I’m leaving complaints with DoorDash and anybody else it might be picking up food there to let them know they need to stop and check the order and even if the order is correct chances are the burgers are un edible oh, and by the way, the burger that my son picked up, they didn’t cook him a new burger even after having to wait they cooked him an additional patty put it on a hamburger that was 48 minutes old with a soggy bun and wrapped it up in paper and gave it to him saying here you go with a smile on their face when he tried to eat the hamburger the buns were so wet from grease and cold that the hamburger was in the edible so smash burger you need to make a decision closest franchise or fix it chances are it’ll go out of business anyway and good riddance. I am not proofreading this. I’m going to offer them. The respect they gave me which is none so if my review reads like garbage it fits because the restaurant is garbage the employees are garbage the people who own the franchise are garbage and the food is garbage. The ambience is filthy there that checks the last box on the yelp review onto Google.

Absolutely dreadful, we went on the reviews, we noticed a new takeaway locally to us so read the reviews and gave it a try. Was one meal short the chicken was awful, the coating thick and no meat, it was dry and crumbly even the dog didn’t want it. Ordered 10 pieces 1 chips 3 basic burgers, which we only got 2 and a tiny cob and the smallest coleslaw enough for 1 and was £60. Ridiculous and where these good reviews are coming from beggers belief. Spoke to a friend and mentioned it and was told they are renowned for awful food, just closed the last shop and opened another.
