Hi Jessica--Retract-A-Gate offers the best balance of features and security of any gate in its class. It was designed with ease of installation, ease of use, durability, and safety in mind. Our lock is very easy for adults to operate but the push down and turn at the same time lock (like a child-proof cap) would be difficult for small children to open. Thanks for your 5-star review! Deanna at Smart Retract.
