Hi Sherry, thanks for sharing your Smalls experience. When you buy a sampler, you're also signing up for a recurring subscription starting two weeks later. We make sure to mention this during checkout and in follow-up emails, including Heads Up emails before your first full box ships. If an order charges when you're not ready, we have a weekend window to help. Requests to refund unshipped items must be in by Friday at 6pm EST before our warehouse finalizes orders for the week. Of course, it's always our hope that we're able to hear from all of our customers before this final deadline, but we're happy to take as many steps as we can to minimize the risk of an unwanted order. We're sorry to hear your cats didn't love the food, but our Cat Concierges have lots of tips and tricks to help! Hi Angelica! We are so sorry to hear you didn't have a better experience with our food 😿 In case it's helpful, we've found that warming the food with some hot water or ~10 seconds in the microwave can open up the ‘nose’ of the food. That’s often enough to convince a skeptical kitty to give Smalls a try! Hi Marilyn, we stand by our commitment to making quality food for cats, and we've worked closely with our veterinary nutritionists to improve our recipes (while keeping the core ingredients the same) to make them even more nutritious and appetizing to our feline friends. The cat panelists in our comparison study voted four-paws-up for the new recipes. But we understand that you may feel uneasy about the changes. From all the cats we've studied (for work and for fun), we've found that though cats can be creatures of habit most can be convinced to try something new with some transition tips. If your cat is having a hard time transitioning to the new recipes, we recommend warming the food with some water or adding your cat's favorite topper (like their favorite treat or low sodium chicken broth) to pique their interest. Warming up Smalls is a great way to increase its aromas and highlight all the tastiest changes we've made.

It's not uncommon for pets to go through an adjustment period when transitioning to a new type of food, and changes in behavior can sometimes occur during this period. Cats who have switched to Smalls typically will experience more energy. However, your experience highlights the importance of finding the right balance and understanding your cat's specific needs. It's great to hear that your kitten is back to being the loving kitty you know and love after the switch to a different food. Hi Elizabeth, we're so sorry to hear about your experience with our recipes. Stronger smells typically make a food more interesting to cats, as they rely on their sense of smell to tell them whether or not a food is good, and heating the food will additionally increase the potency of the scent. We understand that Smalls may not be the right fit for every kitty, but we appreciate you giving us a try.
