The cat food is good, my cat loves it but the customer service aspect of smalls is the reason for the low score. Smalls has a referral program, they send texts saying refer a friend and get $20 for you and a free box for your them. Inside your shipment they include a referral card with a code for you to give to a friend. I gave my referral code to a friend who used it. I asked customer service when my account would be credited.. I was told my account would not be given. The card in the box is a different referral program. I just feel like if they valued me as a customer that has been with them for more than a year.. they would have said, sorry for the confusion we will credit your account. They lost a $138 a month subscription for $20. It may seem small but it made me feel my business didn't matter.

Their website was "not" transparent about the 30 day Trial purchase including being automaticly enrolled into having a Subscription account. I did the Trial purchase in mid-June, after seeing their TV commercial. The commercial does not disclose that there is a required auto sign-up subscription account to buy their cat food. None of their follow-up emails mentioned that I now have a subscription account, and did not mention that I need to manage it. This also meant they kept my credit card on file & could use it again. I learned of the account, when I received an email that "they" made the decision for me and were already shipping 42 packages of Smalls cat food to me. I was still within the Trial period and had already determined my 2 indoor cats did not like their food. What the hell was I going to do with 42 packages - I did not have freezer room to store it. You cannot call a live person and it's all handled via Text messages or Email. I could not stop the shipment, according to their replies to my text messages to that phone number provided. Once I found out about the auto subscription, I went back to their Web site and with a deep dive into their FAQs, I finally found the details on how to permanently cancel the account. Since they still had my credit card info, I also contacted my credit card company and put a "block" or "stop" against Smalls so they cannot use my card again. Too late, I finally did the research on Smalls and read everyone's complaints about being mislead by this cat food company, including that Smalls did not always honor account cancellations and continued using a person's credit card to send shipments.

I received the "trial" pkg, but wasnt given enough time to properly introduce my cats to it. Then, 2 weeks later I receive 48 meals. When I called, I was told that if I wasnt happy I could receive a refund for the trial pkg. But not for the .$140. Charge for the 48. At this point IF my cats liked it I wouldn't order from you. (They dont like it)

I ordered the sampler with chicken and fish, I got one fish in the sample box and the rest were pig and bird. I wasn't ordering pork I've never heard of such a thing for feeding a cat pig. The price point is way too expensive. And you're not going to get what you asked for.

I bought a sampler to see if my cats would be interested in their food and they weren't at all and to add insult to injury they automatically subscribed me without my permission and charge me $150 on the first order. Do not deal with these people. They are not honest.

Not sure why, but my cat liked this food at first and now she will not even consider it. Not sure why but the sad part is I can't return it for a refund, so now I have to either give it away or put it in the dumpster. Take to much room in my freezer. Sorry for this bad review but I don't know what else to say.
