SmallsReviews of smalls.com

The overall quality of the food is good. I’m not the biggest fan of the packaging though… additionally when my order is shipped usually the treats that I get for my cat is turned into powder which is not fun… Otherwise, my cat loves the food…

I too was hoping my cats would like this cat food. I ordered The sample package first and they liked it so I ordered a supply of it and now they won't eat it.

My sample box arrived on time and in perfect condition. Still a bit of dry ice so everything was frozen truck solid. Gave my two cats a few pieces of the freeze dried chicken liver and heart and they loved it. So I'm thawing one of the ground chicken tubes in the fridge. Big test coming up as my cats have had mostly dry food for their 6 years. They drink water from a stainless fountain. And one flat out does not like wet food much. I will update this in a week after seeing how Haru and Yuki respond to fresh raw food. So far, so good.

This food is really good, I used to use a different brand of human grade food that discontinued their cat food and only offer dog food. The transition was easy since Bodega was used to it already. My only issue is the packaging. It’s not an easy rip open bag as it states, I have to cut it open, gets sloppy. That’s not the real issue, the real problem with the packaging is that there’s several servings in one package. Which means I have to scoop out the portion then warm it up and serve. The last subscription was individually portioned, where we warmed up the bag in hot water, open then serve. I don’t want to serve my cat cold Food straight out of the fridge, with this packaging, I still haven’t figured out the best routine to Cut down on all the steps, just to serve it.

As far as Customer Care and Service goes this is a 5Star+++!! I gave it a 4 Star only because my cat did not take to the food. I wish he would have as this company has the best customer service and really tried to help! They even contacted me early on just to see how it was going. When I contacted them, they responded and handled things immediately for me! Great company!!

I have two cats and only one of them will eat Smalls. I supplement her diet with a small amount of Smalls daily. However, near the end of the week she refuses to eat it and I end up tossing the last few portions. I suspect it just gets a little stale in the fridge. I wish it came in smaller packages so I could ensure I'm feeding her only the freshest food and not wasting any of it. Since starting smalls she's more friendly, has more energy and her fur is soo soft!

My cat loves this cat food and he is a large male cat and constantly bugs me for it! I have a hard cat food that I try to feed him to keep his teeth in good shape but he's become even more vocal demanding his smalls. He's gained some weight and his coat is healthy and shiny. The only reason I gave 4 stars is I found 3 big chunks of something in the ground cow. I have pictures of it and of the packaging it ce out of if you're interested.

We're not quite sure our cats actually like the smalls cat food honestly. They'll still eat up dry food, and go for the smalls bowl, but because of the consistency (a little on the paste side as far as consistency), they will flatten the food out and it'll sit there. The container is OK, but better ways of measuring based on cat weight and being able to cut out that portion or something would be better. Maybe instead of just the tick-marks a weight could also be listed? The plastic doesn't peel back easily either, so generally it has to be cut open with a knife. Our dog has Farmers Dog, which he is psyched out about when it's meal time... Cats, not so much about smalls... but they are cats.
