My cat used to love smalls but ever since they changed their formula and she refuses to eat it. We’ve tried all flavors. Idk what the little black spots are supposed to be, but ever since they showed up in the food, my cat won’t eat it. So I’m giving a 3 because it used to be great so I know the potential is there

Hey Bianca! I'm sorry to hear your kitty isn't enjoying their new recipes. We recommend warming the food with some water or adding your cat's favorite topper (like their favorite treat or low sodium chicken broth) to pique their interest. Warming up Smalls is a great way to increase its aromas and highlight all the tastiest changes we've made. The food has a strong odor, not very pleasant for humans (although better than some other cat foods). That being said, i have not seen a change in littter box smell (still very low odor there). Rating is a little lower mainly due to the price (this average cost is $8 more per day to feed my cats than the former fresh food I gave them...previous food is no longer available, hence the reason I had to change) and lastly, the website only allows purchases through subscription. I would like to see an option to pick the exact number and items I want instead of being tied to specific selections and quantities on auto-ship deliveries.

At first I blended old canned food with Smalls, gradually getting to just Smalls. The first week both seemed to like Smalls. Then my female would just walk away from it. I tried warming it. I tried feeding farther apart. my other cat zooms in and eats part or all of her's unless I stay and watch. I even tried mixing beef with chicken. adding a few drops of water. What else should I do. So far, for the first month or so, both cats love the food and it seems to be high quality. What I haven't liked, is the the last two shipments have been shorted. The packing slips indicated complete orders yet one shipment was more than 1/3 shorted (16 servings) and the last shipment was shorted 6 packages. I contacted Smalls and got refunds for shorted product. Also one shipment was no longer frozen when it arrived. The product was still cool, so they said it was OK to refreeze. Not happy that packing slips had indicated and charged me for product that I did not receive.

I received food from April 28th-June 19th. My 1st shipment was great just learning what my cats liked and didn't like. My eldest cat was more harder to convince. She liked it at 1st but began to decline. My kitten will eat anything but it's safe to say they're both chicken girls. Their is no doubt in the quality of food and its true my litter boxes did not smell out all! BUT! I did receive food packages that were not sealed properly! I didnt even notice at 1st! Then i considered because they were frozen perhaps it was safe to give to my babies? But I was wrong! I should have just have just threw them away and contacted for replacements. I have canceled my subscription with smalls on June 20th given that my cats have been tossing there cookies. There could be many reasons for this! Firework season, heat, stress but their behaviors and personality seem fine. So until I can figure out the source they are on a "i/d digestive care diet" strict diet. Given the situation is it worth noting out of 28x packages of cat food about 5x had cuts in them. (I do have pictures) For the price of smalls and safety of my loved ones this shouldn't be. Smalls need to double check their plastic and seals the food.

My rating of smalls is a 3.5. My cats have been eating smalls for 3+ months. Initially they seemed to enjoy it but now not so much. Not sure if something was spoiled ingredient wise in this last batch or the recipes changed but something is different. Price wise this cat food is expensive, especially since now my cats are barely eating it. I’m going to try another month and if this continues I will have to discontinue my subscription. The delivery service is great though! Very easy delivery right to your door. Packaging is always secure, despite it being food & order always arrive on time

My senior cat likes the food, but my 3 yr old cat won't touch it. I am elderly and find the packaging messy once I've struggled to open it. Just not a good fit for us.
