Skystra Cloud merged with my web host Ultimate Web Hosting recently (2024). I have been a customer of UWH since 2006 to present and still have 1 year of hosting left. The domain name was up for renewal, seperate from the hosting package, despite opening a ticket and asking for a login to access the control panel to pay the fee, they disputed that I had an account despite earlier stating that I was shut down for sharing illegal content, which was a lie, back in 2019 someone hacked UWH via a PHP exploit which is how my and other accounts became compromised and content was uploaded to the tune of a few hundred gigabutes of data. The domain expired in the 17th March 2024 and despite it being within days of the expiry, Skystra Cloud told me to go and claim my domain from Nominet. It appears that this company has a poor understanding of the situation and despite wishing to continue service to the end of the 2 year hosting package, they turned around and told me that I am not a customer of theirs and that they have advised me of how to claim my domain name and closed the ticket. Does this company think I am a moron, they deny I have an account whilst recounting information in their database about my account and also to go and claim my domain as they have "Released" it so it can be transferred. I tried to open another support ticket but they have blocked me. I looked up the company online and you should do as it does not inspire confidence using a compan ythat is based out of an office in a residential area. Quote " Skystra Staff Operator Thursday, March 21st, 2024 (18:45) We've given you the steps needed for you to get your domain, it's not locked and you can complete this yourself. You are not our customer and you do not have an account with us, so I will be closing this ticket. Thanks, James Web Hosting Advisor" So if I am not a customer, how is it that they can unlock the domain from the hosting account so I can claim it. Talk about bare faced lies, do they really think I am that stupid or are they treating me like the average American client? From my personal experience, it is not a trustworthy company to deal with as they can do to you what they did to me with completely obliterating your host account with refusal to allow access to your files. 0/10 for customer service 0/10 for customer confidence 10/10 for ****hole attitude.

I was seriously considering moving my website hosting to Skystra based on a high recommendation from a friend in Canada. My pre-sale experience was beyond bad. When I asked why they don't offer a real time support even via chat, only email - the reply was along the lines "we don't and never will as it doesn't suit us, so if that's what you want go elsewhere, goodbye". Quite arrogant, yet I replied that I was still interested and asked for more info. Silence. No reply, I raised three or four pre-sale tickets - they all have been deleted from their dashboard as soon as they were created. The last one didn't even generate a confirmation email. My direct emails to the company remained unanswered. my email was blocked. YES - that was my true experience with your sales team in Australia, Skystra. It was about a pre-sale enquiry so of course, I'm not your customer (and never will). Skystra's reply is really disappointing and also revealing their self-centred culture. Personal attacks and backlash are not the way to respond to a negative review. A respectable company takes responsibility for the bad experience of the customer, client or a potential customer, and asks the person to contact them directly with further information and to resolve the issue. That's clearly something beyond this company's customer relationship charter. TrustPilot has verified my review as genuine. Skystra has not contacted me in spite of the verification I provided to them, has not apologised and has not revised their attacking reply. I do not troll, do not post fake reviews and do not suffer from a mental disorder. Grow up Skystra!

Because TrustPilot no longer allows the removal of fake reviews... we'll reply. This person never was and never will be a customer. This review speaks for itself. The state of mind of this individual is pretty questionable and seems intent on trolling. We really hope this person finds the mental health help they truly need.

Wanted to tr their software but checked out their testimonials websites (2 of them have HELLO WORLD) on them! I messaged on Twitter to ask if they could offer me 1 email account on a 30 day trial as I was not convinced by their testimonials and as i have many emails and several websites I was not willing to commit to a move without proof that they could deliver. They simply blocked me. Tells me what I need to know. They have written i got mad which is completely false, they did not reply to the request they simply blocked me. Most software companies offer a trial of some kind to prove their service at which point you sign up and pay, given the number of emails required and number of sites without a test switching service on such flimsy references was not an option.

Never has been a customer, and never will be a customer. This person got stuck with inferior service level companies, got jaded, and then got "mad" when he didn't get what he wanted from us (free service), hence this "review", because they think their non-customer opinion actually matters. We're super happy this nightmare person is not our customer. It lets us focus on our actual customers and give them the high level of service they deserve.

I purchased Web Hosting 1 day ago. I was reached out to by somebody called Melissa shortly after my migration had completed, I was then imminently banned. Apparently they didn't see their "services" as "fitting my needs". Given it is Shared Hosting, its a saturated market, and it is very simple, and easy Provider to Provider. There is nothing to not understand about it, furthermore I had a fully functional website and emailbox. I am not sure what her issue was, and she was evasive in answering that actually. If anybody from Skystra wants to reach out, give it 24 hours as I'll have to move my MX records, thanks to you! Though I can't fault Marc, he was brilliant and handled migration flawlessly.

Through experience our team knows this is not a customer we can work with. We were very accommodating to their requests but at some point had to tell the customer that we were not the right provider or fit for their needs. We provided the customer ample free time to move from our service and we would help do it, however, he became antagonistic. Such is life with bad customers out there - our other customers are more than happy with these actions and decisions to protect the quality of their services.
