To cut to the chase: SiPhox caught my undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes, likely saving me months of additional damage to my body and lord knows how many dangerous complications. I took a blood test with SiPhox (their heart and metabolic health panel) out of a general interest in my long term health and wellness, knowing it included tests that would be difficult for me to get through my doctor's office. I was a little skeptical given the low cost for such a wide array of panels, but the experience was easy, and the results lined up with tests I wound up getting later through my doctor's office. The HbA1c number jumped out, and it also caught a very low c-peptide - the combination of which indicate low insulin production and the likelihood of Type 1 diabetes. They flagged that in their online system, and shortly after I even got a call from them to flag the numbers being so far out of the norm. My doctor's office confirmed the test results and then did some more specialized antibody tests to confirm it was Type 1. I don't know how long it would have taken for me to realize something was wrong absent the SiPhox test, but catching it absolutely allowed me to get my blood sugar under control and avoid more damage to my body, likely adding months or years of healthy time to my life. Best $100 and change I've ever spent, by several orders of magnitude.
