If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible chat customer service. I asked for 1 piece of information several times to transfer phone and she continued to be confused. I also think they are chatting with several other people at the same time. Long waits between confusion. Glad I'm gone. Never again.

This is the worst phone service you can…
This is the worst phone service you can get. Everyday I miss called and it says the Carrier has stopped my service , not sure way. I have screen shot of this information for proof. I have no more time nor patients for this carrier.

They suck I pay $39 for my phone paid for and it's pay as you go I need my phone unlocked mind you I've been with them probably 2 years or more I have to pay $150 because I had to replace my phone with less than 12 months ago so it's not how long you been with them it's how long your phone has been with them to unlock my phone never again

De-prioritization has become a deal breaker
There was once a golden era of Simple Mobile. That ended at the start of 2021. Data de-prioritization seems to no longer be based on congestion, now it apparently depends on the time of day. From 12am to 7am my data works wonderfully. I've seen 3MB down/7MB up (that's MB, not Mb).
Then, from 7am to 11:59pm, my ping fluctuates between too high, and unusable (it used to be 81ms for my favorite game, now it's 180-750ms). And no, I can't stream at 480p during that time either, despite their claims. YouTube will buffer if I run a video higher than 240p. That's because I'm lucky to get 45KB/s download speed during the day, which is less than 2% of the speeds I get at night.
I know congestion isn't the issue as well. There are less than 50 people with access to my cell tower at any given time, and yet de-prioritization still happens, and still happens like clockwork.
On the Simple Mobile website it states: "If congested, customers may notice reduced speeds vs T-Mobile customers..." The "If congested" portion of that statement is no longer something I experience. I am currently looking for a new provider after almost 3 years of quality service.

Told me I could get a refund, then refused. Had to file a complaint with BBB to get a refund.
Update: I filed a complaint with the BBB and Simple Mobile called me and offered a refund. I accepted their response which closed the BBB complaint and I gave them a star for remedying the situation, but that doesn't mean I'm happy.
It shouldn't take filing a formal complaint to get a company to act according to normal business/human practices. Also, their support agents need better training (including ethics) and/or need to stop lying about their policies. The lowest level of service I'd expect would be the support agent to tell me: "No, you can't get a refund under any circumstances." Or slightly better: "You may be able to get a refund, but only under these very specific conditions which I'll lay out for you in black and white." Then I could unhappily wait for the end of the billing cycle and then switch.
If we had gone to court I'd have probably been awarded some damages for the stress they caused by telling me initially, more or less: I know we said we'd refund your money, but we found a loophole and instead we're stealing your money (TeRmS oF SeRvIcE) and there's nothing you can do about it. Well my terms of service are if you don't provide a service you don't get my money.
Initial Experience: Had to switch to a different provider due to Simple Mobile not supporting smart watches. My billing cycle started yesterday and a payment was processed, but I was told I could get a refund. I was told I could switch then call back and get a refund, which I needed to do to make sure that the new provider could activate the device successfully. After the device and my phone were successfully activated by the new provider, Simple Mobile now said they could not refund my money after transferring service. I ended up I paying $50 for less than 1 day of service.

I bought service plan by talking to…Live Agent
I bought service plan by talking to live agent, I brought in my device OPPO A9, which agent checked prior to sign up, was told it had to be GSM unlocked phone, which it is. Phone worked for 3 days, Then it did not work (could not use to make calls or receive calls either), talked to live agent and was informed my phone is not compatible. No refund was offered. Will not buy again.
