In all the years my husband was in Silverado I never saw an incident where a resident was mishandled or forced to do something they did not want to do....everyone is redirected, treated gently and with dignity,

I can no longer recommend Silverado. In the midst of a Covid-19 outbreak, the Silverado Alexandria, VA residence chose to prioritize profits over transparency. My father, who I entrusted to their care, died from Covid-19 four weeks after the residence was supposedly placed on lock down. Families have a right to know the circumstances and extent of the outbreak and the number residents who fell victim as a result. Peace and closure for families must outweigh concern for the all-mighty dollar. Until Silverado can be trusted to be forthcoming and truthful about life and death facts affecting our loved ones, I cannot recommend this residence.

Silverado is an absolute life saver for me and my mom. They’ve gone above and beyond to make sure my mom is comfortable and safe, especially when her anxiety is high, and I honestly don’t know what we’d do without them. I 100% recommend Silverado to anyone who is looking for a loving and caring staff for their loved one.

Wonderful open plan community for those with dementia. The elderly person does not feel trapped, is able to see the chickens and other pets at the community.

I gave Silverado 5 stars because everyone I have met at the facility truly cares about their residents. I also gave them high marks because the Director of the facility met with me to understand My wife's and my story and she has stayed involved in all facets of my wife's care from the pre-move in to the present day 17 months after move in. All the staff truly get to know all the residents and they truly care about each one. Something I did not see at other facilities I visited. Also, my wife’s condition has changed several times since she moved in. Each time the staff helped create a comprehensive individual plan just for her. They also brought in appropriate outside resources that were specific to my wife’s condition. I feel that at Silverado you get a customized and comprehensive individual plan for your loved one the covers everything from medical treatments, to socialization and stimulation activities, to dining needs, to sleep needs. I feel more secure and I really feel like part of a big family at Silverado.

Silverado’s entire team of caregivers, staff and managers are amazing. They are engaged with our dad and all of the other residents. We feel lucky to have chosen this facility. Thank you and bless you for everything you do!

Dementia is a very cruel disease and we are so grateful to have the staff at Silverado in our corner. Not only do I have confidence that Dad is being well taken care of, I have found a group of friends to navigate this journey with. Silverado staff are so knowledgable and supportive. They really care!

Touching experience having my father there, continue to be involved because the process of helping people who need memory care is so important. Facility wonderful.
