I was called back by a woman from Shred Nation who was knowledgeable professional and very competent. She answered all my questions and then told me I would be contacted by a 'scheduler' within an hour. An hour later I was contacted by a gentleman named Marty from 'Global Document Shredding" or something like that, who didn't connect himself in any way to Shred Nation, so I didn't at first realize he was the scheduler that I was told would be calling. He told me they couldn't process magazines, even though the Shred Nation woman told me they would be no problem, so I said I would call him back after talking with my husband. I then called Shred Nation back and complained that I had gotten bad info from the first woman, but was told that Marty was wrong, that this would be confirmed with a supervisor and someone would call me back. A while later I got a call from Marty who said 'I guess we do magazines as well". I scheduled with him, but didn't feel good about it. I was concerned I might get some resistance when he got to the jobsite, or that there may be more fees asked for. I had also gotten a call from another company and ended up scheduling with them since there seemed to be no problems with the goods we wanted shredded. When I called Marty back to tell him I was cancelling the order, all of a sudden he could come out on the day I originally told him I was available and he became initially more willing to work with me. When I was firm that I was cancelling the job he became snarky and rude. I'm glad I went with my gut and didn't schedule with him.

I never got a response from anyone. Pretty disappointing.

I got a call from a great company within minutes of my inquiry and scheduled the shredding service on that first call. Couldn't have been easier!

I am a tax accountant in East Windsor, NJ. Yesterday, I visited the Shred Nationals office at Pak-Mail in East Windsor. First of all, he quoted $1 per pound of documents to be shredded or, in my case, over $500. Second, I had to bring the documents to his location, where he said they would be put in secure collection bins, to be picked up at a later date by a company that actually does the shredding. I would be unable to witness the shredding of these highly sensitive financial documents and not receive a certificate of destruction. By contrast, I received a quote of $129from another company, with the truck coming to my office and allowing me to witness the destruction of such records and receiving a certificate of destruction

I got a call from 3 different companies and 2 were the same price and the 3rd was reasonable. I was good to go to one site and not have to fill out the same info on multiple site.
