Great quality, long wait for product but worth it.

An impassioned plea to VIDA! According to the best scientific studies on filtration, face masks that use a combination of 600 threadcount cotton and two layers of polyester-spandex chffon or silk will filter 80-99% of aerosol particles that spread COVID-19. PLEASE, please start making masks with these recommended materials! Give us two options. The ones you already make, and these scientifically recommended ones that would be far safer. We would pay more and be so grateful. My current masks from VIDA are okay, just not as strongly effective as I believe we all want...and need.

I received my order of masks and one package of replacement filters, a bit delayed from the original estimated delivery date (I ordered from them as they had an earlier deliver date than most). Although they seem a little thin, I am pleased with them, especially the adjustable drawstring earloop. However, I ordered two packages of filters and only received one. I did send an email but if they are so busy completing orders, I don't know when to expect an answer, or how long Paypal allows to dispute a charge. They do not provide a phone number to call. I hope to hear back from VIDA regarding making my order right and shipping out the other package of filters.

I find the product quality inconsistent, some items are great summer bad. I have been very disappointed in product promotion as all the products seem to look the same on the site, and I have never seen one of my products anywhere even after spending a considerable amount of money buying back my product. Also, I considered buying certain items in large quantities but the price break is not worth it.

____________Update - May 24____________________ I have been refunded for the full purchase and offered to keep the products free of charge. VIDA apologized for the delay in response and states that they are doing their best to improve response times in the future. ___________________(original review, May 23, 2020)____ I placed an order for face masks and filters on April 13, the estimated arrival was 9-15 days later (April 28th max.). I got a message that this would be delayed and then a Pre-shipment message on May 9th. The order is STILL in pre-shipment (USPS has not received the package and it's been 14 days...). It's been 6 weeks since I placed and was charged for my order and I just got an e-mail advertising that they are making a new style of masks, prompting me to buy them. How can you advertise selling more masks if those of us that have ordered them so long ago still haven't received them? Additionally, from reading these reviews, I can see that customers that placed their orders after me have received their masks... Way too long of a wait for any type of order... a $3 shipping reimbursement is an insult at this point.. It seems as though they are starting production for another type of mask in LA, rather than worrying about the type that I ordered/fulfilling 'long ago' orders.

I ordered 5 masks at different times in April and haven’t received any of them. I got an email from Vida saying one of the masks had been shipped to me, but that was 8 days ago. I’m getting really frustrated at this point. Update: 5/29- I am BEYOND frustrated at this point. One of my masks got “lost in the mail” and Kelsey was supposed to rush a new one to me, and I haven’t gotten that one either. Now I’m not getting responses back from her. This company is awful. 6/1- Kelsey got back to me and made everything right. I’ve changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. I love the masks themselves, but the process of getting them was, as I said before, frustrating.

I really would like to take in consideration the opinions you are receiving, thinking that you are a global company and some of the facts change from country to country. the positives: 1) Good e-commerce platform. 2) In my experience, good customer response 3) Good range of products 4) Very good quality in 100% Modal Scarves (the the negatives: 1) Extremely high priced products in all the lines. Even with the discount is not possible to make business. I have been selling my own designs for 3 years and I really haven't make money, scarcely at the breaking point ((product cost+delivery cost* exchange rate)+packaging cost+art fair cost or delivery cost). Besides the only product that have a decent price-value relation is the 100% Modal Scarf (in Mexico, this fiber is not well known. The persons that knows it doesn't understand why the final product is so expensive if the fiber is not. The constant comment: They are wonderful but too expensive. 2) The increasing exchange rate USD-MX pesos (is not in your control, but it's quite important for your/my business 3) The delivery cost is as expensive as one 100% modal scarf 4) For my market, the only possibly way to make some money is with one product (100% modal scarf). The high price of the rest or the high-priced/low value relation of the rest of the lines, make not viable to invest in any other item. So I can't raise a interesting product line. 5) VIDA doesn't have inventory, but I have. Thats why I'm not interested in buying anything else at this time and in this uncertain situation.

I wish I had read the reviews first. The Masks are too small. Please note the responses from the company in reviews are to the five star ratings. None to negative or unhappy reviews. I wonder if it is worth it to leave a review. We will see
