Movers forgot 5 boxes on the loading dock. They were found by building maintenance.

Your movers, Mitch and Peter, were the most efficient workmen and the most pleasant we could have met. However, they arrived 3 hours late due to truck problems. The office should have called at 8AM when they knew there was a problem. Instead, I made four calls to your office before I could be contacted with a manager, to the chagrin of the dispatcher. As a result this move cost me another $100 for a rescheduling of another service as well as another day's parking garage fee. I really have to think twice before I schedule the final move in a few months. Jeannette DeAngelis

Had an afternoon move scheduled from a storage facility to an apartment. They gave a great price compared to other moving companies, so I decided to give them a try after a recommendation from a friend. My movers were scheduled to arrive at the storage facility between 2-4PM. I called dispatch at 1PM to make sure the driver would call me 30 mins prior to arrival so I could make my way over to the storage unit (so the movers wouldn't have to wait for me to get there). The dispatcher told me that the drivers were parked around the corner from the storage facility so they should be ready to go at 2PM. I asked him if he was sure, because I would be there at 2PM, and he said yes, definitely, I am looking at the truck now that is parked around the corner. I was there at 2PM, and by 2:15, still no word from the drivers. I called dispatch back, and after 5 minutes of being on hold, I was told that they were still on a lunch break and they would be there in 25 minutes (around 2:45PM). I was annoyed at this point, because I was just sitting in my car at the storage facility waiting, when I could have been at my apartment doing things. Then at 2:45PM, I get a call from the driver saying that he's about 20 minutes away!!! WHAT?! I know this is not the driver's fault because he didn't know that dispatch told me to be there at 2PM, but I was very frustrated because I now waited an hour because of the dispatcher's mistake. Once the movers got there, everything went smoothly and quickly, but the whole experience of waiting prior to that put a bad taste in my mouth.

the guys were sweet, worked fast, broke my mint condition wooden bed frame and didn't tell me - huge chunk of wood taken out of one visible section - tons of knicks and scratches (big ones) on rest of bed frames and the legs of couches and chairs all scratched up and dented badly. They were rough. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE NICE FURNITURE

The team was kind, courteous, and incredibly FAST! After unpacking, however, I found a lot of broken items despite having marked fragile on many of the boxes. If you want speed, then this is your team. If you want care and special attention, then be wary.

Schleppers was responsive and reliable throughout my move, until the end when they lost a very expensive and important glass table top and have not , in a week, made good on their promise to get back to me. This week, in the midst of unpacking and getting organized, I will have to chase them and I have little hope of finding my lost piece which cannot be duplicated.

We had chosen Shleppers based on friends who had used them and their professional reputation. Our project manager gave a solid quote to us when he came to visit our 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment as we had gotten 3 other quotes previously. They movers pre-packed us a day before our move. 2 men came over and did about 5 hours of packing. The next day, they finished up and headed downtown to us at noon. I was waiting in the new apartment and when I went out to run an errand at 2pm, I saw them just sitting in their truck not doing anything. They also forgot our living room which a worker in our building thought we had trashed so took it. Fortunately, our old super knew the company and chased them down. Our movers went back to get rug and when we told our project manager about the issue, his response was not what we would have liked. He seemed to not care. When we told him the movers found our rug, he did not give us a time when the movers would go back and get it when it was there fault. Needless to say, I called Shleppers operations who are WONDERFUL and understood my concern. I am torn about using them again....most of my friends have had great experiences, but ours was sadly just ok.
