As an author and researcher, people have been telling me to get onto YouTube, but I barely ever did anything because I was always so overwhelmed by what content to do, what research to do, how to cut the information down to bite size morsels for social media, and how to make money off of book sales, consulting, and other businiess ventures; but, CGE DID IT ALL!!!!! FOR THE FIRST TIME, I HAD A DIRECTION AND A FOCUS WITHOUT BEING OVERWHELMED. Before CGE, I would post a video, and no one but me would view it, even after months, and sometimes less than a thousand views after a decade, but after beginning with CGE, I reached 1 thousand views in 3 days with just my 3rd video by following their advice. I couldn't believe it, and I am so excited to see what happens by the end of the six-month program. I was given an amazing coach who is directly experienced with my topic for content creation, which I was secretly hoping for - an experienced coach of my niche. Everyone, both staff and fellow students, have been emotionally and technically supportive as I plunge into this world of content creation. This company is such a blessing, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to become a professional YouTuber. DO IT! IF YOU WANT TO BE A YOUTUBER, JUST DO IT!

Yophiel, this was such a great read; thank you so much for sharing your experience!! Going from feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to focus to hitting 1,000 views on your third video is an amazing milestone...seriously, well done!
It’s also great to hear that having a coach who really understands your topic has helped you feel more confident, clear, and excited about what you’re building.

Highly recommended- one of the Best coach programs I have worked with
Before I started working with Content Growth Engine (CGE), I really had no idea how to structure my videos or actually reach people on YouTube. Even though I have over 32 years of business and marketing experience, translating that into a solid channel strategy was way harder than I expected. Jimmy Marshall was a huge help in getting me to focus on what actually matters and teaching me the basic tools to execute everything properly. The CGE team really stays ahead of how YouTube works today. But honestly, the best part is the mentors—they give you practical advice from real-world experience, not just random information. Every coach there genuinely knows their stuff and helped me out every step of the way. Highly recommended

Thanks so much, Sean! We really appreciate the thoughtful review. With your years of business and marketing experience, it’s great to hear that Jimmy and the coaching team were able to help you turn that experience into a clear YouTube strategy. Also, we’re glad the practical, real-world approach has been useful. Wishing you continued growth with the channel!!

A Good Pathway to Follow for New Content Creators
I was curious and thinking about getting into content creation when I came across Shane Hummus' CGE. I've found the CGE program to be very comprehensive, and learning the Icahn method is challenging for me, but at least it provides an established guideline for predicting which video topics may perform well. I'm grateful to Daniel and the rest of the CGE team for accommodating my slow pace and supporting me despite my busy schedule.

Jeremy, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We really appreciate your honesty and are glad CGE has given you a clear framework to follow, especially while balancing a busy schedule. We’re happy to hear that Daniel and the team have been able to support you at your own pace.

This program helped me improve faster
I got a lot from the program. I value the community and the coaching sessions the most. They both helped me to learn and grow my understanding of what works for me and what works overall on YouTube. The personal feedback I received from Coach Tina on my YouTube post helped me improve faster and strategize for my future posts. I looked forward to our sessions. She is a great resource and very supportive . This is a good program, if you invest your time into it, and has a great, helpful and inspiring community.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Pat! It means a lot to hear that the community and coaching sessions have been such a valuable part of your experience.
We’ll definitely pass your kind words along to Tina; she’ll be so happy to know that her feedback helped you improve and think more strategically about your future videos.
Thank you again for being part of the community and for putting in the time and effort to grow!

Great Experience with Shane Hummus
Great Experience with Shane Hummus
I had a great experience working with Shane Hummus and his team while getting started with my YouTube channel. They were very helpful, professional, and supportive throughout the process.
Unfortunately, due to some personal circumstances, I had to withdraw from the program. I really appreciated how understanding they were about my situation and how quickly and professionally they handled my refund.
Even though I wasn’t able to complete the program, I’m very thankful for the experience and the help I received. I would definitely recommend Shane Hummus and his team to anyone looking for guidance and support in starting a YouTube channel!

Mindy, thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! We’re really grateful that you allowed Shane and the team to support you, and we completely understand that sometimes personal circumstances have to come first.
Even though your time in the program was shorter than planned, it means a lot to hear that you found the experience helpful. We truly appreciate your recommendation and wish you all the best!

Very Fruitful Experience
Before joining, I had too many interests pulling in different directions — engineering, AI, trading, DJing — and no real system to turn any of it into a channel, so I stayed stuck on niche and wasn't posting. Working with Jimmy Marshall gave me actual frameworks instead of guesswork, and what stood out most was how direct he was — pushing me to just record and post instead of overthinking it, which is what actually got me moving.
Response from Content Growth EngineAug 17, 2026
Robert, thank you so much for sharing this! It’s great to hear that working with Jimmy helped you cut through all the different interests and finally take action.
We’re really glad the frameworks and Jimmy’s direct coaching helped you get moving.

Self-paced access was helpful, but the coaching and communication fell short for me
I joined Content Growth Engine on August 27, 2025, as a working carpenter trying to grow my hands-on YouTube channel, HouseMasters Carpentry. My channel is built around real carpentry, repairs, home-improvement work, and project videos—not primarily talking-head content.
One thing I did value was the possibility of working at my own pace. I work full-time, and producing a weekly video also means spending considerable time filming and editing. Flexibility was important to me, and I did not expect anyone else to do the work for me.
The money-back guarantee was also a major reason I decided to enroll. I remember seeing and hearing Shane discuss a guarantee in a video and understanding that there was a refund option if the program was not a good fit. I do not remember the exact terms or fine print, but that assurance was important in my decision to join.
My main disappointment was the lack of proactive, individualized coaching and follow-up. I expected periodic contact, encouragement, and practical guidance based on my channel, schedule, and niche. In my experience, I generally had to initiate communication. I explained that I work many hours and spend substantial time editing videos, but I did not feel there was consistent follow-up or a clear, workable plan tailored to my situation.
I later learned that CGE considers my enrollment to have been a six-month 1:1 coaching program. However, I did not understand at the time of enrollment that my access would end after six months. My understanding from the onboarding and enrollment process was that I would have the flexibility and time needed to work through the program at my own pace. Currently, my profile on the Skool platform shows "Free Membership," and I have not been given a clear written explanation of what coaching access remains or exactly when my access to the training material will end.
The format was also difficult for me as a learner. Much of the material felt like watching training videos rather than receiving the interactive coaching experience I expected. I already understood some of the beginning material, such as identifying my niche, but my understanding was that I needed to complete modules before moving ahead. If I misunderstood how the modules were structured, clearer guidance would have helped.
The member communication platforms were another challenge. I had never used Discord before joining, and it took time for me to learn. Once I became more comfortable with it, communication shifted to Skool, which was also unfamiliar and difficult for me to navigate. That transition made me less inclined to participate in group discussions. I also no longer have access to my previous Discord conversations, so I cannot review the earlier guidance or communications there.
When my access period was nearing an end, I was told by phone that I would receive an additional month if I posted a Trustpilot review. I later sent an email explaining my concerns and asking for clarification about the access period, a longer no-cost extension, and how the money-back guarantee applied. I did not receive a response to that email.
As of 2 weeks ago, my channel has grown substantially after I made changes with the help of the AI subscription I have. After changing my YouTube banner, I went from roughly 400 subscribers to more than 2,000 in under two weeks and became monetized. I am grateful for that progress, but I do not attribute it to guidance I received through CGE.
CGE may work better for people who are comfortable learning mainly through self-paced video material and seeking help only when they are able to initiate it themselves. For me, I paid for a coaching program with a money-back guarantee—not only a library of training material—and I do not feel I received the proactive support, clear communication, or value I reasonably expected.
Response from Content Growth EngineAug 18, 2026
Jack, thank you for sharing your experience so thoroughly.
To clarify the timeline: you joined Content Growth Engine on August 27, 2025.
Your onboarding call with Murray on September 15, 2025 identified your DIY carpentry niche and highlighted editing and ICAHN method challenges.
You then had your first coaching call with Jerome on September 22, 2025, where he worked with you on niche refinement, content ideas, and affiliate marketing.
Later, on March 31, 2026, Jerome provided a detailed thumbnail review and Canva tutorial to strengthen your visual presentation.
That said, we acknowledge that communication and proactive follow‑up did not always meet your expectations.
While our coaches provided structured guidance, such as adapting ICAHN to DIY builds, outcome‑first titles, and thumbnail optimization, we understand that you wanted more ongoing, individualized contact.
We also regret the confusion around the six‑month coaching window and the money‑back guarantee, and we should have responded more clearly and promptly to your concerns.
To demonstrate our goodwill and commitment to your continued progress, we’ve reached out to you to offer an additional 60 days of program access at no cost.
This extension will give you another opportunity to engage with the coaching, work toward your goals with clearer expectations, and receive continued support from our team.
We truly value the opportunity to make things right and help you get the most out of your experience with us.
