Enough of these bad reviews, not only did I take out one policy but two. I needed some work done on 2017 Chevy as my mechanic nor myself had any problems in getting the work needed approved and fixed....all went off without a hitch! I have dealt with other warranty companies and considering the price I paid plus the quickness of the approval my car was properly fixed and mechanic was paid.

This company does not honor their customers. They stand behind grey areas and deny deny deny and never pay for work that may be needed on your car. I do NOT recommend them at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID

This company will do anything to take your money and keep it. They refused to honor the refund agreement outlined in their contract after the car was sold, despite providing all of the required documentation. There are many choices in this industry, I would recommend you stay away from Select Auto Protect!

I signed up for the warranty coverage with Nick Ross on 6/23/23. He was very nice and even sent an email saying he would help family and friends needing policies. He even wrote that he would help me with anything I might need - not necessarily to do with my policy. However, when my circumstances changed and I reached out by email asking to cancel I have not heard back one response. I wrote him twice and 3 rd time wrote to general email. I haven’t heard from anyone but my premiums keep getting taken from my account!!!

NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND! My vehicle suffered hail damage and was totaled out by my Insurance Company. I requested a pro-rated refund from Select Auto Protect and was told to send in the Total Loss Report issued by my insurance company and my mileage, which I did. We purchased the Platinum Plan, COVERED VEHICLE: 2015, Buick, Enclave, 66,185 Miles, Coverage Term: Dec-23-2021 To Dec-22-2026 or 147,185 Miles WAITING PERIOD: 12/23/2021 & 1000 Miles My policy was effective for 81,000 miles (1000 of which was grace period) or Dec/22/2026 whichever came first. It is June of 2023 and my mileage was 76,431 when I turned in my car and submitted my mileage proof for refund. I paid $2,100 for my policy. The manager informed me that I was not due a refund because my account was actually in the negative because I had used 18 months at the industry standard of $125 per month - so basically you pay $125 for the first 17 months and the said there is nothing left to refund. I was very frustrated because I inquired about the refund when the plan was purchased and nothing was said about a $125/month charge when calculating the refund proration. Very deceitful. Don't Purchase!

I wish I could give this company a zero. In June/July of this year, I had a problem with my Toyota Highlander. It took over three weeks for them to come out and approve the repairs - with me calling repeatedly getting the run around. I had picked my car up because it was driveable and it would not have not have even been there when they sent the examiner if I hadn't been calling bugging them and the manager happened to mention that the examiner was coming out that day. Had to leave work and run car to dealer so it would be there. Never communicated to me - total run around the whole time. After the examiner was there, took me another length of time to see what they would approve. Only approved half the repair (which, I am sure you will be surprised, was not the part that would have been covered per the policy). the manager assured me that the examiner's report had been sent to me and when I said I didn''t get it assured me it would be sent. Never received. The worst part of this whole thing is I just sold my highlander and was told to send my mileage in, which I did. My policy was effective for 61,000 miles (1000 of which was grace period) or May 1, 2021-May 1 2026 whichever came first. It is Aug of 2023 and my mileage was 113,441 when I turned in my car and submitted my mileage proof for refund. I paid $2,150 for my policy. The manager informed me that I was not due a refund because my account was actually in the negative because I had used 28 months at the industry standard of $125 per month - so basically you pay $125 for the first 17.2 months and the rest is on them if you keep the policy. I have had legitimate extended warranties and it was always prorated based on the mileage and/or months used. Read the cancellation section - totally deceiving.

Everything was fine when the salesperson sold me the package, but when it was time to submit a claim, the car has been in the dealer lot for over a month. An inspector is still to be assigned and when you call the customer service it is an answering service that does nothing but take a message. No one has returned my calls or responded to my email with updates. Now I am trying to cancel and still can't get a response to do so I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. The hassle is not worth it!!
