SDC International Shipping CompanyReviews of sdcinternationalshipping.com

We moved a load of personal belongings from the San Francisco Bay Area to Northern Italy, and chose SDC. Our experience with them from start to finish has been very good. The estimating process was straightforward. SDC were not the cheapest we spoke to but we felt their price was very reasonable and our actual costs came in under the original estimate. The logisistics and documentation team were great -- there was a mechanical glitch on pick up day with the truck, but they made sure that the truck got to us, and were very reassuring in the process. The quality of the packers was very good -- nothing was damaged when we received the shipment. The day after the packers picked everything up, it struck me that I hadn't packed one item we had self-packed (a bicycle) well enough, and contacted SDC and they were able to have the packers go back to the warehouse and repack it. They didn't charge me anymore for this than if I had had them pack it at home with the other stuff. We used a partial container (our shipment was less than 300 cu ft) and while this method takes longer, we weren't bothered as we didn't need the stuff urgently. Our new apartment wasn't ready when the shipment was due to be delivered so we provided the address of our temporary apartment, the location of which required a smaller van. and there was an additional charge from SDC's local partner. I was wary about extra charges, as many reviews of moving companies mention them, but in this case I think it was reasonable. In any case, the temporary apartment was on the 4th floor (the original address we gave was on the 2nd floor) and SDC's local partner didn't charge us for the difference. We had been a little nervous about the move as there are many negative reviews for moving companies, but we had a very good experience. We will use SDC again and will be happy to recommend them to our friends.

good support, flexible in response, accommodating our time constraints. very friendly

I emailed 5 different firms. Due to some delays I was slow to follow up. SDC is the ONLY company that persistently, and gently, followed up with courteous emails. My contact was quick to respond, pricing is transparent, many questions about how this work were addressed with detail (and patience). They'll be my first stop next time I need shipping.

Very professional. There is always someone to talk to if you have any questions. They make the difficult shipping process very easy and smooth and try to accommodate your needs. I will definitely recommend them for any shipping needs

Very professional, understanding of my concerns and reassuring the packages will travel safe to their long destination.

Such care and attention in moving the things I kept from my Uncle’s house. The move was without problem, everything arrived well wrapped and in good condition. I am thankful for SDC’s genuine care for my shipment.

SDC was extremely professional and made the all process much simpler than I expected. Very fast response and they linked with an excellent partner in Europe that manage every detail flawlessly.

Great communication throughout, and everything arrived safely as planned. You just need to be patient and know it may take awhile, depending on the country you're living in. Friends here in Peru had nightmares getting their stuff shipped here, so I chose this company very carefully. Glad I did!
