Kaplan SchweserReviews of schweser.com

I have used the premium study package for CFA level 1. It proved to be very helpful for me. Especially the customizable study schedule has helped me to spread the study load over the available time that I had. It helped me to stick to the schedule and stay disciplined. The real exam was very similar to the mock exams that I had practiced before. I felt that I was very well prepared during the exam. For all topics, except Ethics, I have only used Kaplan Schweser materials (no CFAI materials). For Ethics, I have used both. I have spent approximately 250 hours to prepare. My score was higher than the 90th percentile score of all candidates. In 2018, I was registered for the CFA level 1 exam as well, without using any 3rd party help. I did not even manage to work through more than 20% of the study materials and quited after that, because I had no guidance at all. With the knowledge that I have now, I would probably consider the essential package instead of the premium package. I think it is sufficient.

relying on it to pass the CFA level 2 may 2021 exam but badly failed. the recommended topic to focus on never came in the exam while the part said not fundametal came. Not talking about the Q banks of more than 3000 questions that I did and did not really help .. I bought the pass protection package but now they do not make it easy to have access to it ..

I bought (20/07) the Essential package for the 2022 Level 1 CFA. At the moment of acquisition they promote that all the functionalities are working. The surprise after they have granted me access was that they had a lot of activities available late of June and other available late of July. I waited till beginning of August, but they changed again the release day to "Available mid august". I don't recommend them, they are not serious source for your learning. Seems that trust is not one of their values. The quality of the materials (which are available) is quite good.

I bought the Essential Package and the secret sauce, completed all the tasks that were listed and some extra questions. I didn´t pass, it turns out it isn´t enough doing all the tasks also you have to do extra questions. I´m retaking the exam but for everyone taking it I recomend yo do all the exercise you can to pass your exam.

Obviously Kaplan Schweser became too fat. They charge a lot and don’t just do nothing but even don’t provide what you paid for. I’ve been waiting for the Schweser Notes videos I purchased as part of the essential package for a month now and they are not available still. You wonder what’s the hell? Me either! Everything support says is “Thank you for your request, we can not help you, just wait. Please write us if you need help!”. Disgusting customer service, lying and indifference. If they returned my money I would better try something else.

Just when there were only two weeks left to the exam date, the website kept crashing and even though I was writing to the support several times, there was no explanation, no apologies, just a standard email saying that they're currently experiencing issues. I was not able to do my Mock exams and continue with my studies before my exam. I am not saying it is Kaplan's fault in case I failed, but certailny Kaplan hasn't helped me to pass. Very disappointing

I purchased the CAIA Level 1 essential package, and am seriously regretting it. Top complaints: 1. There are many questions in the Q bank that are not explained or discussed in the text ANYWHERE. The question explanations even give you the exact section and learning objective they relate to in the text and if you read the entire section there are question topics not mentioned once. This is ridiculous. 2. There are many topics that are over-simplified to an extreme, which may sound like a good thing, but its not. If you read the same section in the official text from Wiley there is SO MUCH relevant information that is completely omitted. A lot of this omitted information is essential to understanding the topics. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere. They may be great for the CFA, but they definitely are not for the CAIA.

Consistent site problems in the weeks leading up to exam. How is increased site traffic in the days before a major exam "unexpected"? When your customers spend over $1,000 for access to an unreliable website, your response should be more than a single apology tweet with no resolution.
