Everything that could go wrong went wrong - and then some

Initiating the lease was the most terrible experience that I've had in 30 years. I don't know who screwed up the mixup with the car (Santander had different car from what I was actually getting); but then Santander didn't get the lease paperwork correctly (one customer vs me and my wife). UPDATE 5/7/2025 - for the record, over a month later I did not receive any calls from Santander. Not saying I need one at this time; but the response promised one in 24-48 hours UPDATE 8/2/2025 - As is common security best practice, I am not providing PII during unsolicited inbound calls. Moreover, I am not expecting any information that would require authentication. Finally, you have my phone number that you are calling - you are welcome to send OTP to it for verification. Your comment makes me feel even more uncomfortable due to your disregard of security best practices.

We appreciate the update but we did confirm that one of our specialists did attempt to contact you via phone and email. Per our record we show a phone call attempt on 4/1/2025 which there was no answer, but a voicemail message was left, and an email was also sent out the same day trying to make contact. We also confirmed a 2nd attempt was made on 4/2/2025 and per our records there was an answer but the party that answered refused to verify any information, and no further assistance could be provided without authenticating information.
