I'm warning people that go to the Safeway in hilo rotisserie chicken raw inside shrimp smelling ammonia and was spoiled you could end up getting very sick or worse here

I ordered $50 worth of groceries for a sick friend in Colorado, set the delivery for a time slot for that evening. A week later, I called to request a refund because it was never delivered, and there was no way to cancel online. It took 30 MINUTES to cancel the order and get a refund. It's also total crap that the first two times I called before that, no one could tell me what was going on with the order, and the local store wasn't allowed to talk about delivery orders at all. What a scam. No company should offer a service or platform you aren't actually able to follow through with. What a waste of everyone's time and money.

Safeway is a bad work environment for young people. My daughter is underage and works in a Safeway store as a cashier. A co-worker stole her Apple Airpods and was caught in camera red handed but Safeway did NOTHING about it. I will not allow my daughter to work in that kind of environment where thieves can do whatever and Safeway just stays still and quiet.

Do not use Safeway pharmacy. They switch out medications and don't even tell you and then they will not give you the correct medication unless you pay for it again. This is dangerous and unacceptable.

During the previous holiday season a cashier accused me of stealing and assaulted me. It wasn't bad enough to call the police but I do think they have to be careful about profiling and using physical behavior to prevent theft. Its not worth it. I had pressed the help button since my self checkout wasn't working and was speaking to my neighbor when she came up to me and said I have to pay and began taking groceries from my arms without asking if she could touch me or take my groceries. When I became alarmed and said, wow everyone is so stressed, my neighbor began praising her for the work even though she witnessed her presuming I was going to steal and physically began to take groceries before I stepped back. Safeway needs to train their associates on bias and responding to customers.

Went to Safeway on Fort Hunt Road. It looked like no one had stocked the shelves in a week or two. They were in the process of "stocking the shelves" when I was there, as every isle was blocked with pallets. I couldn't make it down even one isle. There were plenty of workers. Most were chatting and laughing around these pallets. No work seemed to be going on. One item I needed was heavy cream. They didn't have it. What "supermarket" doesn't have heavy cream? When I got as much as I could manage off my list, I went to checkout. There were NO CASHIERS. I went through self checkout, as it was the only option. I had a bottle of wine in my cart, and was told to wait for "assistance" to check my id. 10 minutes later someone showed up to help. Worst grocery shopping experience I have ever had, and I am in my late 50's. Even during Covid, Safeway has done better.

Ordered strawberries an they were all moldy! Should definitely inspect items before sending off.

My father and I went to Safeway this morning to get our flu and covid booster shots. The pharmacist was rude, very rude. We will not be going there again. There are plenty of other places to get vaccines, to have to subject ourselves to this behavior.
