I would have given SafeStep Tubs a higher rate. But strongly feel that the district salesman was not forth coming or Honest with us in regards to the Demands of Safe Step Tubs Hot Water demands. We repeatably asked about supply capabilities of having a 40 gallon hot water tank to supply this Tub. Salesman out right Lied and stated that a 40 gallon tank was sufficient to fill this Tub with hot water. Found out in retrospect that truth is You need 74+gallons capabilities of Hot Water to fill this Tub and not be running out of hot water before half full. I ended up installing (2) 50 Gallon hot water tanks at a cost of 700.00 a tank to fill this Tub. In hind sight if this salesman would of been honest I would not of purchased the tub. Also Installation crew while doing nice job. They do not paint Plaster or do any finish work in making bathroom finished . That also was unexpected cost. I would not of purchased this Product if truth was told at start of initial conversation with Sales Person. At 16000.00 dollars for tub and another 3000.00 for upgrade to Hot Water supply plus hire of finish work people Safe Step Tubs while being a Quality product and working good. Is Not Worth the money or additional Expenses associated with it. I wish sales man was honest I would not of purchased. But at least if he was honest I could of made informed choice based on whole picture cost wise. Not get me wrong here Safe Step Tubs are a Quality Product I am sure me and my wife will be glad to have as we turn elderly or develop disabilities . I at this time Purchased more for my elderly Mom whom will be living here at some point. In that regard thank you SafeStep Tubs.

Although my wife is very satisfied with the tub taking a shower for me is somewhat difficult. The entrance is a challenge for her since she is a somewhat large woman. It also had a leak when installed and the remote quite working in the first week and still has not been replaced 5 weeks later more has the ceiling been repaired in the basement below the tub.

The tub holds more hot water than my water heater can handle. I knew that going in. What I didn’t know was how hard it would be to get a tankless water heater installed in my home. I wanted tankless because I could get hot water as needed. Right now, I have to fill it halfway and use the leg jets while waiting 15 minutes for the water to heat again. One sugggestion would be to have your sales people have some information on installers in the area with them. This way, buyers could get that done before the tub is installed.

The tub certainly meets a need for safety and independence, but the cost is very high. I find it necessary and difficult to clean by hand in spite of using the method suggested in the instruction manual. When having to make contact with the company by phone, I always find the staff friendly and responsive. Unfortunately, the field team hasn't been as professional in a timely response or the quality of workmanship. Over all we are happy to have the tub, but expected a more professional installation and timely response to some of the issues that required service.

Walk-in tub is great, one of the best, if not the best on the market today. A bit pricey though. Installation was fast, clean no mess. Came out nice Tub works better then expected. — But electrical work not done correctly, wires pulled to old outlet box, not stapled, outlet left in and taped over. Against code, will have to redo. A junction should have been installed. — label ring on the foot/back jet select lever mounted incorrectly, unable to fix myself. — the power line for my dishwasher was pulled out and left hanging, they may have said something about this but I don’t remember it. — no chalking done around the sides/top of the shower enclosure panels, some chipped tiles by the tub sides, that I can fix, ( but not bad considering how tite the tub fit).
