I had a tub installed in OCT 2021 and now 6 months later I find that my monthly payment is going up $18 a month due to information that was not disclosed at time of purchase. Safe-Step is good at doing a quick side-step and claim they are not responsible for disclosing info at time of sale, and I have to contact the finance company, GreenSky, which I have done and they only say to call Safe-Step. In short, this company is a scam and I highly recommend them to no one and advise everyone to stay clear of doing any business with them. I am filing a complaint with the local BBB as well as the state banking authorities.

The worst company I have EVER seen. They weren’t even working on my house but I live in a town house and these men objectified me as I walked outside and worked (banging on the walls and drilling) until the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT? They wouldn’t leave upon multiple requests by myself and the home owner. I am beyond pissed and will ensure that no one I know works with these jerks again.

My parents have had trouble with the chrome peeling off in chunks on the latch/handle. My mother has badly cut her hand several times on the sharp edges, so we’ve taped over the whole area. The tub door will now not close, so she’s standing with her knee against the door to keep water from leaking out. She can’t use the bathtub, can only rinse off in the shower. This has created a dangerous situation for her, she’s 88 years old with crippling arthritis. We’ve contacted the company over 1/2 dozen times for 6months and can’t get a replacement or repairman to come fix the defect. This tub cost over $18,000 and is only 5 years old. The handles are terrible quality and started peeling by year 2. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you expect any kind of quick customer service when it breaks down. My mom is now washing in the bathroom sink to avoid another accident. Shameful!

Poor product water pools ontop of tub. Tried twice to fix. Tired of calling.

Purchased 9/22/21.No contact until 6wks.We should have been called to set up appmt in 2wks.Then set appmt up to Dec16.Installed.Big gough in bathrm door left off piece of trim around tub,no shower curtain left.took us in to show us how it worked.Main power board quit after 10min.Said hed call installer by Dallas,have part sent to him.Would call us back.Never heard from him.Called salesman.He said call Tempie Project mgr.She was attitude from the getgo.Makingso many excuses that she never listened to what my concerns were.I hung up.She called back,said she wasnt finished talking.I was.She was not going to be of any help so no need to keep listening to her attitude.That wason 9/17.Not one communication since then.We did not release financing $ due to issue.I we would really like to have it cancelleddue to problems and likely more if repairs are ever needed.We are VERY DISAPPOINTED in SafeStep,and ppl handeling our job.For that price,we should get better results.Will never get goodreview from us!

I was pressed to provide a down payment with a debit card of $2000 although initial credit was declined. I canceled contract on November 4th but all I get are excuses for not having returned my funds by November 18th per cancellation clause. Instead of returning funds to my card plan to send d check eventually. My bank wants to pursue criminal charges as I'm a 70 year old disabled veteran. Either Friday or Monday that will happen and news outlets notified.

The experience from the start has been short of “satisfactory “. Our credit card down payment was not processed until I made numerous calls, finally after 1 month the payment was processed putting the installation 1 month later than expected. The date of installation, they showed up after 11AM then worked to “complete” the job after 9PM, in the dark! The 2 gents were personable however, we were told the tardiness was due to the warehouse. The electric inspector failed the electric so I called on Wednesday 11/10, still waiting AGAIN to be contacted the correct the issue Updating this post, I still have not heard from SafeStep! I provided my contact info as requested PLUS I called them on the phone TWICE and again spoke with a answering service who picked up Safe Steps' "SERVICE HOTLINE" and both times assured me someone would call me. Needless to say we a extremely frustrated with Safe Steps lack of concern for their clients.

If I could, the star would be negative. My dad is disabled, since I used Safe Step to install a shower, I thought it would be beneficial for him to have a low step tub. What a disaster, the representative said nothing would be touched, the space would look a lot as if the walk-in tub had been in place for years and that the tub would need to be custom made for the space. Nothing but lies; the original contractor committed to the job three or so weeks, the job was assigned to another contractor. It was a nightmare. not only was it overpriced, $16,000+, they also removed parts of the wall and floor leaving plywood exposed. Who would opted to spend more money in advance on repairing exposed walls and floor? As this is what I was told, my dad signed stating he would absorb the cost. What! So, I began calling the numbers on file, finally, after calling all of the numbers available on the internet, leaving a message for the complaint officer was a joke, she just has the title. The unethical attorney for Safe Step conveniently called me, stating he could not discuss, as I was not the homeowner. Once again just a smoking glass and mirrors, not wanting to take responsibility.
