Absolutely one of the many bandit in moving.
Hold you hostage and demand thousands more.
Heirlooms damage, no payment with in house insurance.
If you are smart, steer clear.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THESE GUYS ARE DISHONEST MONEY-GRABBERS. ZACK PLAYS THE A-GAME AS A CON ARTIST. THE PRICE ENDED UP MORE THAN DOUBLE THE ESTIMATE. MANY BROKEN ITEMS, SQUASHED BOXES. I COULD WRITE A DISSERTATION ABOUT HOW BAD THE EXPERIENCE WAS AND HOW TOTALLY DISHONEST THEY ARE, BUT TAKE HEED, FIND SOMEBODY ELSE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Update: Look .. they're asking me to take down this review, saying I'm mixing them up with another company in Canada. NOT TRUE. Safebound in West Palm Beach, FL. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. This is exactly the company we dealt with. AWFUL!

Fraudulent Business, Beware!
This company will say anything to get your business. They tell lies. Be sure to read the fine print on their agreements. What they told me and sold me on was different than the fine print in their agreement. I had quotes from other companies and had a good idea of what I needed. By the end of my move, I paid almost $4k more than they quoted and my furniture has has nicks, dents, scrapes, and broken hardware. I was told one crew would pick up and deliver with the same truck. This was not true. My stuff went to their warehouse first and days later was delivered. I told them at the time of quote the delivery truck had to be a 26ft truck and they said that is what they would do. They picked up with a 26ft truck, took my stuff to their warehouse, and then they loaded it on a 55ft semi and charged me an extra $1400 for offloading to a smaller truck when they got to my area to do the final delivery to my townhouse. There was nothing I could do because they already had my stuff and were holding it ransom until I paid. I also packed and boxed all my own stuff other movers included this in their quotes but Safebound wanted even more money to do this. When they did deliver, the crew was in a hurry to finish and didn't want to take things to designated rooms. They treated my furniture harshly. It was not a professional moving crew. It was like 3 guys with nothing else to do. I have moved cross-country multiple times and this is the worst moving experience ever. I recommend never using this company and only hiring movers that come to your home to inventory and prepare an accurate quote. Safebound will promise you everything and deliver on none of its promises. Shame on me for not doing better research and getting suckered. 3/8/24 - Update, I received $378 at .19 cents per pound for items that were damaged. My nice furniture is all dinged and gouged. I paid extra to have a TV wrapped and packaged and they still managed to crack it. The moving crew at final delivery were day workers not professional movers. The only think worse than the job the did is the way they treated me afterwards. They literally pretended to want to solve a dispute and GHOSTED ME LIKE MIDDLE SCHOOLERS. Like cowards.
Paid for a full service and my husband ended up having to help the single mover who showed up

CROOKS Safe Bound Moving and Storage
Safe Bound Moving and Storage is the worst. Dont believe they're fake reviews that the algorithms have detected as fraudulent and all coming from the same IP Address. Safe Bound Movers are CRIMINALS ! When they were in Canada the police raided their office and arrested them for criminal business practices . BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE !!!!!
A number of non-genuine reviews for this business originated from the same IP address and/or the same computer, which may mean that someone was trying to artificially influence this business's rating. Our review filter is still working, but this apparent effort to mislead visitors was big enough for us to take additional steps to notify consumer

Ripoff Artists
Was quoted a price and it wound up tripling by end of move. Communication is not existent. Told them 3 times that a 50 ft truck would not fit in new driveway, so what did they bring...a 50 ft truck. AND they charged me because they had to bring a second smaller truck in to help. Then, they charge "extra" if they have to use stairs to get into new house.. My advice is NOT to use this company, they rip you off.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY UNLESS…
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE 1) BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING, 2) CHANGING RULES MID-STREAM, 3) ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE, 4) PUTTING OFF YOUR DELIVERY UNTIL THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT BEFORE GOING TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND 5) HAVING SEVERAL ITEMS BROKEN.
1) Bait-and-switch pricing. We did a virtual tour of the home covering every room with the sales rep Luke Mandly. Mandly’s first estimate was $3,200. We told him it was too low. He came back with an estimate of $3,800. When the moving crew arrived at our home, the crew chief estimated the move at $7,300! We were floored. How does a company underestimate by almost 50%? Well, the crew said it happens all the time (Code: standard operating procedure). They gotcha! (it’s moving day, you’re on a schedule and they say they want 50% more?). After a back and forth with the Manager at the home office, Mike Stockbridge, he agreed to take $1,000 off.
2) Changing rules mid-stream. I paid a deposit, then more $ when Safebound picked up my belongings, then more $ before they unloaded their truck at my residence. All three were paid by debit card. When I paid my initial deposit, I told Mandly I did not want to be charged the 4% credit card fee since it was a debit card. He agreed to waive the fee. When it came time to make payments # 2 and 3, Stockbridge would not waive the 4% fee. After calling him several times, I finally gave up in frustration (Gotcha!).
3) ZERO customer service. The company has a customer service # but it’s useless. It’s an automated voice mail with a couple of extensions. No one actually answers the phone, it goes to voice mail and no one calls you back. Imagine, you’re moving, trying to set your travel plans (plane tickets and/or drive time and/or hotels) and they are not professional or courteous enough to return your calls.
4) Putting off your delivery until the last possible moment. According to the agreement, they have 14 days after pickup to deliver your items. Well, they took the full 14 days. In the meantime, I’m extending my hotel stay not once or twice but three times. And of course, during the hotel stay, I would call and leave messages with no return call. I actually asked Mandly before paying the deposit if my belongings were going to their warehouse in south Florida and sit there for an extended period of time and he said of course not.
5) Several items broken. Three boxes were damaged and had been resealed. The items inside were damaged beyond repair. It was obvious that while in the company’s possession after the initial pickup, the boxes had been dropped/damaged during loading and/or unloading at their warehouse before being reloaded into another truck for the final delivery.
In summary, the $1,000 “discount” was more than eaten up by the 4% card fee, the additional costs of hotel and meals and the broken items. Just remember: Once your initial deposit is paid, you lose all your leverage because they Gotcha!

PIRATES!
PIRATES!! They will be soo courteous and professional as they give you a very reasonable, lowball estimate and take your Non-Refundable deposit. The day they show up to move you, all bets are off. The price of your move will increase exorbitantly. Mine went from $7K to $17K!! Now you’re stuck. Pay or lose your deposit and be left without a mover on your moving day! As if that is not bad enough, your final payment is due in cash or a money order. The system is designed to rob you! Oh and they will beat the hell out of your furniture and not assemble anything. Don’t be a victim. This is a ROGUE mover!!
