Really bad AI. It's wasting credits by not following the instructions. Lost my money on this rubbish

I had a very frustrating experience with RunwayML and would strongly caution others before using their platform. The service consistently failed to deliver what it promises. While it gives the impression that the next generation will improve results, in reality it repeatedly produces incorrect outputs—costing you more credits each time. In my case, I clearly specified that the project was for Instagram Reels (9:16 format). Despite this, the system generated all videos in 16:9 landscape. This fundamental error forced me to regenerate everything at my own cost. The AI agent even acknowledged the mistake. The issues didn’t stop there: Incorrect images were generated multiple times despite clear instructions Several regenerated videos were unusable due to technical and visual errors The system failed to detect obvious incompatibilities (e.g. using landscape inputs for vertical outputs) Credits were repeatedly wasted due to these mistakes In total, I lost a significant number of paid credits purely due to system and agent errors—not user error. Customer support was also disappointing. It is entirely bot-driven, and despite acknowledging the issues, I was told nothing could be done and no refund would be issued. I was even directed to incorrect support links, which added to the frustration. Overall, the platform feels designed to keep you spending rather than delivering reliable results. If you are working on professional or client-facing projects, this is a risky tool to rely on. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before committing time and money here.

Revisiting Runway after giving it a serious shot a few months back. I tried to put my remaining paid credits to use but the system won't generate anything unless I have an active subscription. Why then do I have a bank of credits? Absolutely wretched business practices paired with an equally wretched UI.

Ever seen the money machine at the fair with the shelf of coins that stack up and seemingly make you believe you can drop a quarter in and it will land in the stack to move the pusher plow and send them all off the shelf into the win bucket? You keep trying because you are sooooo close. One more coin and you get it all. Nope.. Never.. Its impossible.. Without knowing exactly the way stuff works in their prompt intelligence backend; this platform is exactly that. All of their videos to show demos and their showcase reel to pull you in are heavily post VFX. The LLM and chatbot constantly hallucinate with their tools.. None of the results are out of the box. You will never get the prize perfectly how you want, it will just take your credits and apologize. Avoid. Its a terrible time suck and you risk giving your IP away if you are creating for industry. They are a major scam. Most AI gen is.

I paid for your service and my video disappeared during processing. I never received the finished product, and I have not received a response from customer support despite reaching out. As a paying customer, I expected a reliable service and timely support when something went wrong. Instead, I lost both my project and my time. If this issue is resolved, I'm happy to update this review. Until then, I can't recommend paying for this service.

I am writing about my experience because this company is a straight-up scam, and they rob you with total impunity. I am considering taking legal action. I purchased a paid account and was running completely safe prompts (in fact, they were just cute 3D animations of a family with original characters). Out of nowhere, and without any sense or explanation, they cut off my access and told me I've been banned. I have tried to contact them to appeal, and nobody answers. From what I can see, this is a common practice for these criminals. You pay for the subscription, they close your account for no reason, and they keep your money. Don't let anyone think about paying a single euro to these scammers!

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy any subscription, it will ask you straight away for extra credits. I want my money back!!!!!!!!!
