I have had a Rover sitter for over 5 years now and it is absolutely the best way to go! Kind, dependable, loving care for our Cavalier, Bailey- It’s like family- with a professional relationship as well. A “meet and greet” is required to be sure things are good on both sides. They require shots, medical, and any other unique info for your pet, plus consistent feeding times, potty breaks and outside time in a fenced yard. I could go on, but just just know that Rover is a fantastic service, and just a welcome sense of confidence for your family.

We left our happy/healthy three year old Boxer with sitters we'd used dozens of times over Thanksgiving. On Friday morning, November 28th, we received a text from the sitter that our dog had, "fallen from a planter box, and injured herself." She was now, "limping, and in extreme pain." Turns out, she had dislocated her right rear hip, and would require surgery. The dog spent the weekend at the hospital, and went into surgery Monday morning. The bill came to >$10K which we paid believing Rover would reimburse based on their policy. They denied the claim, and we are stuck with this bill in the midst of the holidays. The reason Rover gave for denial was, "hip dysplasia," a "pre-existing condition." She had never displayed signs, and had never been diagnosed with this condition even though she'd been seen by many professionals who signed her off as a happy/healthy dog. The only way we ever could have known would be to put her through x-rays just to look for this condition. We have video of her running and jumping taken a week before the incident, and now she is likely permanently disabled. The people we left her with are flabbergasted that Rover would not cover this, and the "Rover Guarantee" was the reason they became caregivers in the first place. They only went through the app to book stays. I implore you, do not use Rover believing they will cover an incident, they will not. We're now thinking about starting a GoFundMe to help cover some of these veterinary bills. I would not trust this company with a hamster as they will find any excuse to shirk their responsibilities.

Sitter was fantastic with some what difficult dog, plenty of updates and pictures.

Our dog was welcomed into Lisa and Matthew's home as if he was a family member. Their pets were friendly, their home lovely and their personalities gracious, welcoming and caring. I couldn’t have asked for more. Their caring daughter was an unexpected bonus as my dog quickly warmed to her.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. From the moment I dropped him off, the sitter was friendly, attentive, and clearly experienced. They kept me updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, and it was obvious my dog was comfortable and having a great time. The home was clean, the yard was secure, and the sitter followed all feeding instructions perfectly. Truly one of the best Rover experiences I’ve had!

The app was very easy to use. It was easy to locate providers near me. I especially liked knowing how many repeat customers my provider had. Great all the way around!
