The ease with being able to choose from several house sitters. It took very little time to complete the process. I was a bit leary of having someone come to my house that I have never met, but the house sitter made me feel comfortable. I had no problems with using this platform.

Rover has saved my life. I'm able to have care for my pet corgi while away from my home. There are so many options and care takers to choose from. Price is affordable and my pet has been pleased. This makes for a stress less trip or time away from home. Great asset and option for pet care!

Rover is peace of mind. They do the hard work, vetting the caregivers, providing guarantees and processing payments. As the consumer, we scroll through their Caregivers allowing us access to real pet sitting reviews and helping us to find that person who best meets our needs. We keep the communication open and available to future Clients by giving our own feed back and reviews. Im super pleased with our Pet Sitter and the help Rover provides by connecting us.

I would not recommend this service. I tried to register as a pet sitter. They only let you complete the registration after you go through specific steps (okay so far). But when you get to the ID step, the website says: "By clicking Continue, you are authorising payment to your card for the profile processing fee. Final charges will occur after you have completed this step and submitted your identity verification information." What happens is that, when you press continue, the payment is taken straight away and an error occurs. If you try again and again, the payment is taken again. It however never progresses to the ID verification itself. The next day the money is refunded via Stripe. So you don't end up out of pocket (luckily!) but one is stuck on this infinite loop, meaning, it is impossible to sign up to it. I tried to reach out via whatsapp and email, they don't even read the message, just reply with something completely and absurdly wrong, e.g. "It appears that your bank is declining the transaction. We recommend reaching out to your bank, or trying a different card." when in fact I have proof that the payment was taken numerous times! I sent various emails and I have been ignored. Shame really! It is a known error, other users have reported it, and apparently no one tries to get a resolution or offer any help to deal with it. Update, 18 August 2026: One month on from my initial complaint via Rover's WhatsApp, and the issue remains completely unresolved. Rover replied to this review on 23 July saying their team was "working to resolve this as quickly as possible" and provided a phone number. That phone number connects only to a safety emergency line and cannot help with account or technical issues. It was not a useful response. On 17 August 2026, and for the second time, I received an email from Rover Support stating the issue had been "successfully resolved" and that "necessary fixes" had been implemented. I attempted the onboarding again today, 18 August 2026, and encountered the exact same error: payment taken, error on screen, no progression to ID verification. I have now formally requested that Rover complete my identity verification manually, as a reasonable alternative given that their automated process has failed repeatedly over the course of a month. I have also requested a complaint reference number and escalation to a senior member of their team. What concerns me most is not just the technical fault, but the pattern of responses: generic assurances, a useless phone number, and a false closure of my complaint. This is not how a company that takes customer service seriously behaves. I will update this review again if and when a genuine resolution is provided.

I’ve used Rover pretty often for the last two years. I’ve have had really awesome sitters. I’ll be booking for next month and know they’ll take good care of my doggie.

Allison Dog Daycare is superior

Keep doing great Rover. I had uncomfortable experience with one of the dog sitter. I booked for boarding at her house. When I dropped my dog she said that on her Rover app show that I booked the service for doggy day care. That's not make sense at all. I showed her this is the transaction that I booked and you agreed to take care my dog board at her house cause actually she raised the rate and wanted me to pay more. She gave her flyer showing the rate for boarding suppose $55 a nite instead of $35/nite that I already paid through rover.com. I called Rover representative and they solved my problem amazingly. I use Rover service more than 4 years and always satisfied. The only problem was with one dog sitter but not Rover mistake.

My dog Bear loves his pet sitters and Rover does a good job as go between. Love that we hear from them while we are gone and get pictures. He always looks so happy. Puts your mind at ease.
