The ease of finding a dog sitter

Kim was immediately kind, welcoming to my dog, Annie, and me upon our arrival at her home. She asked great questions and listened to my anwers about Annie as well as my instructions about feeding and other minor concerns as Annie is a senior dog. I felt comfortable right away and knew Annie would be in good hands for the next week.

Good experience for the most part, though their customer service was very rude, unhelpful, and passive aggressive. The sitter I hired through their site seemed to have forgotten a drop in visit on one of the days, since they didn't check-in on the Rover app, and naturally I was horrified as to what that might mean for my cat who was home alone waiting for his food and water. After contacting Rover, instead of making an effort to ressolve the issue directly with the sitter asap as it was literally a live or death situation, they went through the motions of "have you tried calling your sitter?" and "please contact your sitter directly". The sitter eventually returned my calls and messages after a few hours, allegedly claiming she "forgot to check-in, but did actually do the visit" though there is obviously no way of verifying this since she didn't upload any new pictures either, so she very well may have not done the visit all together! I'd recommend other sites if customer service is really important to you. I think Rover is the Uber of pet sitting apps as far as that customer service and reliability goes.

Alexis was the absolute best first experience with a pet sitter! My cat and I has never been apart for more than two nights. Onyx was frightened and would not eat the first couple of days. Alexis kept me posted with videos and text messages several times daily. When I picked her up, she ignored me and was clinging to Alexis momentarily. LOL!

We have hired 4 different Rover pet sitters for our Maisie and we have been more than happy with all of them!!
