Thank you for leaving us a review. We are glad you are enjoying your Starter Coop. We understand your concern about the bolt style latches. We did not make the decision without extensive product testing. Our prototype was placed in our display area for 60 days within view of our wildlife camera. We saw numerous racoons attempt to make their way through the doors and none had success. Enjoy your fresh eggs and thanks for choosing us!

Thank you for the review, Julie. I want to first apologize for the egg box mat. I wish we had heard before seeing this. We would have solved this immediately. We have the material in stock and the backordered mat will go out today. I can promise you that none of our parts get put into a box if there are visible cracks or damage to the joints. We do deal with shipping damage on occasion. Unfortunately, there is no way to control how a box is handled between our shipping dock and your front door. Luckily, all of our parts are warrantied during the shipping process. If you have damaged parts that you would like to have replaced, please let us know and we will get them to you free of charge. The same goes for any parts that were mis-manufactured. If we had known we would not have let this go unattended. We have had a lot of positive feedback about the XL Starter Coop that you ordered. We are disappointed to read this but we would like to continue the conversation. Thank you for the review, Kevin. Apologies for the split board. Our parts are victim to shipping damage from time to time. In those cases we replace free of charge through our warranty. Do you remember which panels you had trouble identifying and which information you felt was missing? Would you be available for phone conversation to get a bit more details? We'd like to do everything we can on our end to clear up any confusion for future customers. Your Backyard Model 2 coop is our newest model, so any insight to improving instructions would be helpful.
